what kind of light should i use to veg my plants?

hey guys I am using 2 1000w lights in my flowering room but I would like to know what kind of light I should be using in my veg closet. right now I have 4 t5 florescent lights that I am using but there not really growing thick they are growing longer and don't really have to many small stems for me to cut clones. what is the best kind of light that I can use for veg so they get nice and thick. if anyone could help me that would be great I don't have any in veg right now and I have some money to spend so please help me out please.

Get HID for vegg and HPS for flowering or any 6700k CFL's

thanks for the infor guys and ya my t5's are a couple of years old I just don't like how long they get. one of my boys said that its because of the light im using and its really hard to cut clones off them cause the light isn't so bright. I might go with a cfl set up but we will see thanks again guys I really appreciate the info.
