bought this light in the plant light isle at lowes... it puts off a bright blue colored light. and the plants just fucking love it. i put it on them and they're leaves actually look like arms reachin up in the sky towards it the leaves just get so stiff and beautiful looking.

I've seen a light just like that with the blue at the end of it at local stores like lowes and it says "plant light" on it or whatever but they aren't for growing plants lol. they are meant to make your plants look nice to the eye. they have little to no benefit to the actual plant they are just meant to make them look good and apperently they do that well! but your leaves might be reaching up because they need more light and are doing their best to get it from that light. leaves should stay put if they are getting a proper amount of light.
hope this helps!

Nicktheburk...... The light output (lumens) for the amount of electricity (watts) you are expending (cash) is very poor for this bulb. It will get seedling or clones started, but after they are a few weeks old - this light will not be enough - your plants will stretch terribly and the heat those bulbs throw out is not really a good thing either.
.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - you would actually be better off using CFL's in the corrrect spectrum for each stage of growth. They are much more efficent and will pay for themselves in the long run.
.
Hope this helps....

yes...if you want to be the worst grower in history. incandescent lights blow the big one when it comes to growing, they put off mostly heat and not a lot of lot so youll basically being giving your plant jack shit. please please please use something else
