What kind of Guerilla Techniques does everyone use?

Hello everyone,

I've been running through some ideas for next grow season. For those of you growing away from your property, How do you go about getting your supplies(shovels, soil, ferts, seedlings) to your grow location?

Anyone try canoeing down a river or stream to their spot on land?
Do you go at night to avoid detection? Dusk or Dawn?
Does anyone park near the forest, reservation, or property to bring it in by foot?

Any details, insight, or methods to make this go smoother would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Gear is important to the Guerrilla grower.

And a good headlamp with a green lens will do a number of things for you. It will free your hands to carry buckets of water in the dark. It will preserve your night vision, and it is more stealthy then a white light in the darkness. Also the green light will not interrupt your plants Photoperiod.

I use a Petzl Tactikka XP - it comes with 3 colored diffusion lenses that scatter the light of the LED spot when you slide it over. Also the light has different power levels of operation.

A handy tool to have in your wilderness self reliance pack.

Philosophy of Use:

This is a work light, so I would only turn it on when iam at the plot under the cover of darkness doing some work.

But I should add a funny story here from last year.

It was the middle of the night and I was out gathering water from a seep well for my plants, I had two 5 gallon buckets and my head lamp was off. I could not see very well but I know the area and the ground because ive walked it many times before. I was just carrying the water over to the plot when right in front of me I hear a rustling noise of an animal. So i stopped set down both of my buckets and turned on the head lamp.

There standing 3 feet in front of me was a full grown skunk ! black and white but I saw him with a green tint. lol He just looked at my light and turned around. I thought he was going to nail me. I closed my eyes but all he did was walk away.

I had no clue it was a skunk till I hit the light. and he was very close to me. How would this have gone had I no light ?

Where do people grow; state parks, forest sanctuaries? Are park rangers a legitimate problem?
I'd like to grow maybe 20 females but it will require multiple trips to "prepare" the site.
Has parking your vehicle been an issue with anyone?

Hopefully someone with experience can shed light on this topic.

Remember you dont want everything in one spot. Best to have multiple sites in case 1 gets jacked and the other eaten by deer.

Agreed. I had a small grow of about 5 surviving ladies last season spread out through different sites. Unfortunately I need to choose a new spot and I live in an urban setting. Finding a "safe," secure, under the radar, entrance to the woods has been my biggest problem. Any ideas from Guerilla growing veterans?

don't forget about water! the more secluded it is the harder it's going to be to water unless u set up a line from a stream but thats a whole other ball o wax!
have someone drop you, and some of your gear off and come back at a scheduled time. do this in stages.....a little bit here a little bit there. put out as many patches of 3-5 plants as you want to have to fuck with. My favorite # is 3: one for the snatchers, one for the law and one for me! lol

Thats a great idea. So you have a partner drop you and some gear off at the entrance and he then picks you up later after you have brought it to the site? And yes I plan on having a couple patches with 3 to 5 plants each. Thanks for the imput.
