What Justifies a High price point for these Genetic Seed banks in the States

yeah, you could be right, like i said, this was a few years ago, and was with a uk based bank...
UK seedbanks are the best, they always send the most freebies and actually back their guarentees up, I can personally vouch for herbies, attitude and gorilla seedbank, I got screwed over by a few American seedbank, sent me bunk seeds then told me to fuck off.

See my avie? That strain took 6 years to make, tested at 25% so not your 30 ? Every one that has it keeps it, it recently yielded 8 oz's for a grower in a small tent and I was only askin 60 for 15 beans, seems fair to me but perhaps I need to ask more 8)
I was posting this quandary because I just bought a pack of beans for a 100 bucks, but the same dude sells others for 300 and up to 500.
Because they can simply put. we as customers have choice too.

Green house sells seeds for about 50
Franchise Genetics $200 average

If I could even charge $100 a seed and people that have the money are will to pay it why not.

Why should I care about your pockets, you have choice.

Is it wrong for a seed maker to have dreams of being a millionare?

You possed a question about regulations, soo what type of regulations, why do you want to impose something There just making seeds man.

why does it bother you that there expensive. I can't affoard a lambo and just keep it pushing and moving.

Back to seeds now! Breeders should be able to charge $100 a seed or $1.

@Biggchong

Also 1 seed can produce a plant that can grow a qp / half pound/ or pound

hmm that one seed that could cost $100 just made $800
7x...
What if you don't sell it?

There are so so so many inexpensive options.

I honestly think this will happen with MJ once it's 100% legal everywhere
Agreed. It's still a schedule 1 narcotic, so there is risk involved for both the breeder and the seed bank, and the prices reflect that risk. If/when it becomes legal from the Feds competition will increase and prices will fall.

The only stoners I know are on here, Everybody I work with have no idea.
They all think I'm this clean cut dude who should have been a cop. But really I'm a fucking stoner who grows in his garage.
So when I post something, it's to create dialogue and ask questions that may be lay, lame or just plain stupid.
If you don't like it GET THE FUCK OUT!

A pet rock made someone a millionaire, the slinky... the yoyo... lots of things that are fads make money and there are cannabis fads as well as old school heirlooms that people want. Someone out there bought "Doggie Nutz" seeds for a nice hefty price and many people bitched about them too.

You can make 8 bucks an hour doing a job on one side of the country and 20 doing the same job elsewhere, value is all subjective.

Price is usually based on demand. If a breeder has 5 strains that are equally good, but 1 strain always sales out, they can raise the price on that one because it has more value. Yoda let me know that Cannaventure is releasing Shoreline S1 and a Shoreline cross, from the Shoreline OG that I made. Looks like they are charging twice what I do and S1's are inferior to a good backcross. I really want to see a picture of the shoreline cut they are using, they don't know the difference between the original cut and the Shoreline OG that I made and spread around Colorado. I am happy for people to use my stuff as long as they mention who they got it from.

Truthfully, I was just curious about seed banks in Europe vs States. I used to buy attitude all the time. Great service , love the freebies. No problems.
Then I get on Instagram and start believing all this HYPE about american breeders who just came out the cut. Dudes in Europe have been doing leg work since the 90's. The states have 20 something year old great breeders on Instagram. IMO
So I go ahead and overpay for seeds...... whatever.
The grow, well I popped a 12 pack of regulars. 5 outta 12 females.
I'm on week 3 flower.

Some of the American breeders have been at it awhile but most all the hyped stuff now a days is pollen chucked F1's

I know it happens all the time. I make crosses from other breeders but I give them full credit and don't rename stuff or act like I reinvented the wheel. I use males from Ken Estes, Gage Green and OG Raskal and I'm happy to give them credit.
Me too ! but not every one does, I used Ken's GDP in several crosses

A lot of these breeders pop up for a year and then 3 more pop up and that one disappears. I would bet that a lot of us seed collectors that bought from popup breeders or got freebies have shit that isn't even properly labeled. It would be so easy take one plant and call it 1,000 strains. Seeds are hard to tell XD

You're coming off a bit hostile bruh! take a deep breathe or something. Don't get your pannies in a bunch.
Noo not at all. what do you see as expensive?

200 could be inexpensive to me.
$1400 starfighter went for that price.

Now i'm asking you, whats wrong if a breeder chose to sell his seeds for expensive?
