What is your favorite drug of all time?

The reason there was no oxymorphone is that it was banned before then. Too many pharmacies got robbed for it. High dose opioids are a pretty recent phenomena, and their explosion in popularity comes from Purdue's aggressive marketing of OxyContin.

Can't find desbutal,I think it was a butabarbital - you can still get butabarbital in fiorinall fioracet and the other mixtures of butalbital, caffeine, and aspirin or acetominiphin. Nice rememberances but the caffeine in those things give me problems. Desoxyn was pure methampetamine..

Well they did too well as now it seems like the DEA are proposing new scheduling and restrictions on hydrocodone/oxy.

Maybe now those pharma lobbyists will come in handy lol

Hydrocodone combinations are all generic so there's nowhere near the financial incentive to fight it that there is for a branded drug.

Found this, don't know about accuracy but sounds about right. Probably the same for Desbutal. Antidepressant meds. Go figure. Dexamyl (or Drinamyl) is the brand name of a combination drug composed of dextroamphetamine and amylbarbitone (amobarbital). It is a mixture of Dexedrine and amobarbital.[1]

First introduced in the 1930s, Dexamyl was a rudimentary antidepressant medication. The amphetamine component contained in Dexamyl was intended to elevate mood, while the barbiturate component was added to counter the side effects of theamphetamine. Its name is a portmanteau of dextroamphetamine and amylbarbitone.

The Bureauof Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs and the Food and Drug Administration decided to recall diet drugs which contained amphetamines, taking them off the market by June 30, 1973. SmithKline & French, producer of Dexamyl and Eskatrol, was excepted from an order banning interstate shipment of its drugs. The company asked for a hearing before the F.D.A.[2] Dr. George C. Nichopoulos was indicted for prescribing Dexamyl and Preludin to singer Jerry Lee Lewis inMay 1980. The physician was charged with prescribing the drugs knowing that the singer was addicted to them.[3] Dr. Patrick A. Mazza, team physician for the Reading Phillies, said he prescribed Dexamyl, Eskatrol, Dexedrine, and Preludin for Steve Carlton, Larry Christenson, Tim McCarver, Pete Rose, Larry Bowa, and Greg Luzinski. Charges were dropped against Mazza, who contended the prescriptions were given in good faith, at the request of the baseball players.[4]

Dexamyl was withdrawn from the market in 1981 because its manufacturer was unable to prove its effectiveness. It had been among the 200most widely prescribed drugs in the United States.

Because they're commonly prescribed drugs and most people who abuse them have the good sense not to tell their drs they're abusing them. Many people on stims end up on a benzo because of anxiety.

Cocaethylene is really the only way come should be done.

I wish I knew how to get stuff like that... Would be kinda cool have a coke high and not have to keep re-dosing every 10 mins..I wonder if it's on the road?

Dang, guys. Had to go out and get "Drugstore Cowboy" from the library and relive old times! The priest character is great (played by William S. Burroughs"). Watch close when he paws thru the stuff on the bed.

Getting drunk first will make a small amount in your liver or you could boil it in slightly acid high proof liquor. It's a lot more potent than cocaine.

Aww, I thought this was pill I could pop. I don't really fancy cocaine too much. Well unless I have too much to drink. Other than that, I prefer the Other "White meat"

So what did your favorite drug of all time make you feel like, and why do you consider it your favorite?

When I took MDMA for the first time, I really didn't know what to expect, I just heard it would make you feel good. "Good" doesn't even compare to it..

My girlfriend and I took a tab (not even pure MDMA) at about 10pm, didn't feel anything for a while so I decided to smoke some weed, got stoned and fell asleep around 11:30pm. Around 12:30am I woke up filled with the most pleasurable feeling I'd ever experienced up until that point. It was like a full body orgasm, right at the moment of waking up which amplified it a ton! I woke up and immediately grabbed my gf's face! Making out was a godly experience! I insisted on sexy times because I knew it would be fucking fantastic! I was right! Sexy times on MDMA is what heaven is like. Fuck!

Perhaps, but MDMA to me isn't sexual so much as sensual, ANYONE's touch is good, even your own - now that I have this methaqualone fixation, I can recall how good THAT stuff feels when sex is involved and how it seems to make every woman into a ravenous beast - until she passes out.

I'd say the buzz of a good cardio work-out can't be beat (endorphins, adrenaline), especially doing daily workouts long term. I don't know if it qualifies but thought it worth mentioning. From my past experience which ended before designer drugs I'd say: ludes, mescaline, alcohol and acid, tobacco, alcohol, some speed, caffeine, opiates, benzo's, pot would be #3 and then second to last cause pot is both awesome, and then sometimes really bad for me, just saying, then shrooms. How do you get rid of the nausea when taking shrooms? The concept of having a "war chest" or access to a large array of drugs in ample quantity is very appealing. Nice thread.
