Fatty oils. Cpt jacks dead bug spray. Mammoth cannacontrol. Safer brand organic insecticides . About to try neem oil, nothing has gotten rid of the bugs. I caged in the area and put up screens and netting.

There was a good discussion somewhere about growers in the northeast U.S. getting it outdoors.
Leafhoppers can spread Phytoplasma. Just a guess, not something I've dealt with. Wish I could find that thread.

Yeah i was just looking in to this alot lately. so the two main things that keep coming up is either low phophorus or phytoplasma caused by leafhoppers .. im more leaning twards the phytoplasma..

Hey @rollituprandy ,, look into this.. its probably one or the other..

Danny Danko feels it's phosphorus in this post.
Grow Q&A: Stems and Leaves Turning Purple | High Times

This thread is interesting because the grower has both the purple and leaf hoppers.

Ya i have leafhoppers. They have done extensive damage but im trying everything to get rid of them. Like i said ive sprayed with safer 3 in 1 organic insectiside. Pyrethrins. Dust with de powder after. I spray at night or when the sun goes down. Ive used cannacontrol by mammoth. Captain jacks dead bug spray which has spinosad. Ive used nor cal 86 which is peppermint rosemary oil. I got some basil peppermint and lavender plants in the garden. I screened in the area. What else can i do to get rid of them. Ive heard neem oil isnt good to spray. Theyre a month into flower. None of the ipm ive done so far has worked. New england grow.

Probably phytoplasm spread by the leafhoppers. Whats wierd is i thought i got rid of the leafhoppers cus the circular spotting started to go away but then holes in the leaves started to appear similar to catapillar damage. Idk at this point. They are ethos genetics. About 15ft tall i started them indoors. Any tips? Trying to salvage this grow

I saw and read that post. His dismissive attitude made me red. Clearly Danko has never seen this infection before, but chooses to pass it off as a grower ignoring the nutritional needs of their plants. In a national publication that's inexcusable.

This is a phytoplasma infection. I've been dealing with it ever since I started growing with bag seed. I thought I had stumbled on an amazing gene or three, until I noticed it moving from plant to plant. No change in nutrients had any effect. It completely stunted one plant that produced almost no trichomes. 2% H2O sprayed on effected growing tips worked 20% of the time. Cutting it out of effected branches/plants works when it's limited in scope on a plant. I have one plant that I gave up on due to 85% of the growing tips and buds showed this infection. Lately I have had response with foliar applications of LABs and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. The change in this plant (grape dragon from 7 East Genetics) is encouraging. I hope anyone else who runs into this infection tries this approach.

Because you've never seen a pathogen before do not try to convince someone that they are at fault. It is a sign of intelligence to wish to explore something new. It is a weak mind that passes off ignorance as superiority.
