Is it normal for them to start looking like that? Why are they so big? I've never noticed them before so maybe they've always been like that, I just don't remember. Sorry for the newbie questions. Lol what does it mean?

Cannabis flowers are basically made out of pistils, calyx, and trichomes. Stack a whole cluster of calyx together and you have the bud. That is just a single calyx hanging out by itself.
