Okay thank you!!Totally normal, i had to tape a branch too, and when I opened it, it was nasty whitish light green too,
As light penetrates it now it will get better in the next few days.
When I cut my plants down and ditch the pots outside to dry out the medium for reuse I see white deposits forming at the severed stems, sometimes even dripping down. Presumably the plant is continuing to uptake moisture at the roots and this is likely fertilizer salts and water coming out of the stem.
Probably happening to you here too, and if so its nothing but good feeding going on!
Could well be dew from transpiration, especially if overlapping. Do try and eliminate possibility of 'guttation' though - too much water at the root zone can create high moisture pressure in the plant and it exudes from leaves in droplets, which can dry and leave salty deposits. Happens at night when the stomata are closed.is that was that is?? can it come through the leaves when they transpire?? seen a tiny white blob on a leaf that was being overlapped and was moist.. thought it coulda been the start of powdery mildew(that wasnt powdery cos of the water on the leaf lol).. never seen that before.
