5.8 - although I let my PH drift between about 5.4 and 6.1, since different nutrients become available at different values, and the window where they are all available is fairly narrow.

I try and keep mine at 5.8 when i make up a feed ( only feeding 4 small babys right now ) I go to diffrent places and watch all manner of videos and you get diffrent people saying diffrent things ... I just take 5.8 as a good avarage between all the confusing numbers :)

Hope my input helps your poll :)

Good Luck and :peace:

I go 5.5 to 6. I use hydroton mainly but sometimes coco for top drip. My understanding is that Zinc is one of those elements that needs < 5.7 for optimum uptake. So I will let er drift in that 5.5 to 6 range. I change out my res every 10 days. I put 5.8 as the sweet spot.

So this stickyfinger dude is sticking to 6.8 not 5.8? Tell him he might save some face if he says it was a typo !

5.5 to 5.8 is the sweet spot, its not going to matter too much between them. Some strains might like 5.5 better than 5.8 so as long as you are in THE RANGE you are GOLD!!

The horticulture bible is full of BS, sometimes I think it was just thrown together from notes and published just to make a quick buck.
