What is THE strain to grow right now from seed?

Lets not ever forget the infamous "baby shit pheno " or "cat piss"
Interestingly enough these two aromas and flavours are well defined in the brewing world! Cat piss is reffered to as catty, and is a compound formed in hops which are related to cannabis directly. Baby sick/vomit is called butyric acid and is also a flavor compound which can be converted to or from ethyl butyrate, which is the pineapple/tropical smell/aroma.

Many flavor and aroma compounds, all created from genetics in plants, animals and bacteria! With enough breeding you can find, favor and enhance ANY characteristic, smell or aroma of any living thing. Breeders select a trait and enhance it, but depending how stable it is, the genes for the rest of the potential phenotypes are still stored in the chromosomes, waiting to be expressed in a future offspring.

From personal experience I was really happy with anything I grew with Big Bud in its parentage. White Widow x Big Bud was one of my favorites so far and a lot of my friends loved it, too. Lately we've all been pretty fond of Blue Dream - probably due to our proximity to Colorado leading to frequent vacations near recreational shops. It goes to figure, back in the late 90's we were all super obsessed with its sire, Blueberry. I have a bunch on my radar for the future. Banana Kush looks good.

i searched for Lemon Cheese and this topic came up so i thought i'd share a pic of my Franco's lemon cheese. I would be harvesting on 4/20 but i'm gonna be out of town :/ soon though. She is a beauty. Smells like a chedder and lemons. It isn't overwhelming but i have 2 other loud fruity strains in the tent. Arjan's strawberry haze is one of them and definately unique. If you can imagine standing inside a dumpster and sniffing a box of strawberries that is what it would smell like. Blood orange sorbet is the other (DNA) smells pleasant like sandalwood and i guess kinda oranges. I like my fruity strains they make me happy. Maybe it is all in my head i dunno but they make me laugh and smile the most and don't make me paranoid.

pic is 53 days in flower prolly needs another full week maybe more. The front buds u see are Lemon Cheese not sure on the yield i'm guessing 4 - 6 ozs. i don't really care she's gonna be awesome no doubt.

From following along a grow of someone I watch. I have to grow Night Nurse from Reeferman I think it is. The aggressiveness of how it grew and the denseness of the buds looks incredible.

And then there are the effects... 'Helps with stress, anxiety, insomnia and pains including chronic'

There is a reason it's called Night Nurse. I've grown it a couple times. Still have some in a jar. I don't smoke it that often and then usually at night because it knocks me out. Grow it properly and harvest when ripe and you've got some potent weed. My girl won't smoke it because it's too narcotic. Messes her up just like Gorilla Glue does. Whenever she wants a toke she always makes sure I'm not giving her Night Nurse or Gorilla Glue.

I'm really interested in UGORG #1 cause apparently it's the realest cheese, Mimosa by Symbiotic cause the pics over in the
Who's Got The Fostiest Buds? thread, and cookies and cream or something similar by exotic genetix.

It would be really cool if the prices weren't so fuckin high though lol I guess you pay for quality.... I hope

I grow landraces, chuck pollen, and make my own seeds. I don't listen to reports from those trying to sell more seeds. I grow the strains that were originally used to make these "Fire" strains as you call them. I can cross as do many other people. The seed industry is a joke. But by all means go and pay $20 a seed for some strain that's a cross of a couple crosses crossed with another cross. Anyone can make polyhybrids, give them a ridiculous name, and call it fire.

What's wrong with Northern Lights? Look at the lineage of many of the "Fire" strains and you'll find it's in many of them.
Northern lights is by far my favourite out of them all.

Probably the next one I'm interested in trying is going to be Wedding Cake - Girl Scout Cookies x Cherry Pie (which is Durban Poison x Granddaddy Purple). That's a pretty impressive lineage. I know this one has been around for a while but I feel like it behooves me to give it a shot.

The Skunk we got in the eighties and the Hawaiian. Oh my that was some good stuff. When that Humbolt County Indica hit the scene it was some pure fire. The Hawaiian was a special treat. $10 a gram back then. And the thai sticks and Lebanese Hash. I'll take that over all the fire of today. The tastes are indescribable. Just good. Good times.
What is the best Hawaiian seeds you can get nowadays? I remember I had some 25 years ago and it was amazing.

On my list of strains to try, I've heard some great things about Hawaiian Snow which has Hawaiian + Haze in its parentage. Currently have a Pineapple Express going which is supposed to be a descendant from Hawaiian but there are a lot of growers around using the name so you have to make sure what lineage you're actually getting.

Growing WC now very impressive. My buddy finished some of the same clones (clone only) as mine and the frost and taste are out of this world. Most definitely will be in my stable for a long time.

The very best to get and be sure are clone only strains. Seeds are a crap shoot. Not saying you can't get killer bud from seeds. Just to be sure. Seeds of clone only strains are not the real deal. A ton of copy cats out there or clone only strains stressed to seed it's self.

Yeah, that's what it looked like happened really fast with Gorilla Glue. It's a shame it can be difficult to get a hold of a clone and a lot of us just take what we can get.

Gorilla Glue is a very good example. If it's not a clone from the original mother passed around it's not true Gorilla Glue. Same with A LOT of strains including GSC.

I recently grew some Nirvana Maui Waui. It was pretty good but nothing like the Hawaiian we got back in the late seventies. I've also grown out a few Thai strains. One stood out. The other were good but I could tell the genetics were diluted. But I got the Highland Thai from The Real Seed Company. I'm looking forward to growing that out.

There's a ton of genetic diversity. But when you reference a certain strain usually you are referencing one of that strains jackpot phenos.
