I would like to see also. thx
will do. Just got home, I've got to crash for a few..wore slap out. I will be on when I wake up for sure..just tag me later ;)
I'd like to know the answer to this also. I've read several recipes for butter/coconut oil that say to decarb before infusing your oil. But I wonder the same thing, doesn't the infusing/cooking/crockpoting decarb it?
It does if you consider that you are applying low heat to break down the turpenoids and activate them. Doing it beforehand in an oven is the best method according to some.

I plan on making butter but the first couple of batches I made had no oomph. Now I guess I know why. I'm trying to decide the best way to go, I'm thinking crockpot right now. I'm also going going to make some oil for my electronic cigarette :)
I decarb after grinding it into powder in my coffee grinder, laid out on a piece of tinfoil @220 degrees for 20-25 mins. My mixture is 2 lb of butter per 2 oz of GOOD material (one ounce product per pound). Mostly bud, with some sugar leaves. That way I get optimum potency.

I also prefer coconut oil in most cases. Healthy, tasteful and a higher fat concentration.

Another trick I do is save the cheesecloth with the wringed-out product in it, put it in a Ziploc bag in the freezer, then use the frozen cheesecloth as a chicken stuffing. After I eat the chicken, I use the infused chicken broth and make soups.
