On my previous post i think I got the hps and mh mixed up. Got to check with the people again. I'll post again later with the right info. I believe it was the MH for veg and HPS flower. Sometimes I shouldn't write things.bongsmilie:eyesmoke::shock::sleep:

Correct, the HPS leans toward the red spectrum for flower, MH towards blue. No warranties written or implied, use at your own risk.

What I have decided to do is make a 8x8 tent out of PVC pipes, plastic sheeting, and emergency blankets. The PVC will allow me to adjust the size as needed.

Haven't decided on lighting yet, I think I will start with several LED and fluorescent bulbs.
I've seen some comments on this post about yielding one oz every few months?

Right now I have one fully sprouted seedling (about 1.5 wks since start of seed germination), 3 germinated seeds that I moved from papertowel today, and 4 that I put down to germ today. The seeds are regular, unfemed, so I took into account that some will probably be male. Also am picking up 5 clones in a few days.
Get a cheap small tent.. shouldnt be much more than you'd pay for supplies and you'll have intake/exhaust in logical places etc.. I would start with the small LED globes and a 3x3 and see how that goes.. otherwise a 4-600 hps and a cheap $50 inline fane.. you can get the filter when you flip

Get a cheap small tent
That would have been a hell of a lot cheaper than the rinky-dink grow room I ended with. I tried to go "cheap", too. Twice. I could have had a small greenhouse for what it cost. Even it you have to grow under florescent lights for a grow or two and settle for just a few oz's in order to get better equipment it's worth it.

Right now I have one 4x4 room with 10 T8 tubes. It's all part of an experiment. These plants have been severely abused, intentionally, just to find "real" answers to problems. The current test is fixing over-watered plants in fabric bags. I'm taking all the "suggestions" and trying to run a side-by-side test with six plants. Had to water them all a couple nights ago and that put a kink in the side-by-side but it will get straitened out.

But back to the lights. These T8's are growing plants. The plants are flowering. And there will be a couple oz's of bud. What might be a good idea for a, let's call it a low dollar grow, would be a perpetual grow. Auto Flowers with T8's or better yet T5's running 18/6. Plant 2 seeds every 4 weeks. Unless you have a really big need this could maybe keep a couple people supplied.

Drop 10 cents into a can each time you fire up and next year buy a first class setup. If possible get a vape like the $60 Dabox. Your smoke will probably last twice as long as burning the herb. Something about vapor and heat. One hit rattles my cage about like half a joint.

These are only thoughts that may help with lights and equipment, but remember, the florescents are only a temporary work around.

not poke people with sticks
LOL. Hay, I make mistakes and when I do I would want someone to lay in a correction. This was just confusion, but I have pulled some good ones. One typo(?) caused a couple of pages of comments. It sounded really stupid and then I realized it was me they were talking about (Big apologies to people). Such is life. Like I said, if I make a mistake rattle my cage or poke me with a stick, it's OK.

As for the fun of growing, I'm like a kid with a new toy:bigjoint:. Legal in Oklahoma. This is the most enjoyable garden I've ever had.

I outgrew drama a long time ago.
Yah, I know what you mean. I took a look at your stats and I figure I outgrew drama just about the time you were a twinkle in your daddy's eye, lol. You know, I've "talked" to so many people on this forum that I really wish we could all get together and pass the pipe.

I converted fluoro dual strip lights to dual end power, ballast bypass, dual row LED tubes, yup the cheap Amazon chinese lights. 6K, 28W, "2800" lumens. Lights were $30 for 4, fixtures were free up to $8 ea. I don't expect massive buds, but in my situation they work for me.

Same in Nor Cal, learning a lot. Have to grow indoor, so lots of new stuff to deal with.

the cheap Amazon chinese lights
I think maybe I have a use for my light. One of the three burned out. when I opened it up there were three complete 50w LED circuits except for a cheap voltage regulator. (This is 900W's. BS and BS again.) How do the get away with saying a 150W of circuitry gives 900W?

I have watched a lot of things on making oil. Twice, now, I've seen where people were either setting their tincture in the sun or close to UV to clear green out. My plan is to cannibalize one circuits and replace the burned out chip with an extra bright UV to try to bleach the green out and make nicer oil. Don't know if will work but I try everything that sounds almost reasonable and then try to post the test and the results.

OK, you lost me. Tell me about them, please.:o
