What is the minimum amount of direct light a plant should get for big buds?

??? Is 7 hours enough from morning to mid afternoon from 8a.m. to 3p.m.? The rest of the time is spent in a full shade which is blocked by the house. Would the plants stretch?

My guess is that you will likely confuse your plants going from absolute direct sun to absolutely none at all. That's not to say that you won't get bud, but it will be lacking.

There is some light in the shade, but its just shady light:lol: Its not completely black out, but, you know... shady...:lol:

from my experience's only, I have great success with at least 6-8 hrs of dirrect sunlight and after that it doesn't seem to make much difference. mine get the bulk of sunlight in the morning till early afternoon and they have always produced big buds. also might depend alot on what type of plants you're growing

7 is just fine. Weed likes the sun (as opposed to a shade plant) and the minimum you want to get away with for direct sunlight is 5 hours. Weed will prefer the morning sun over the evening sun if that is an option for you.

i am growing outdoors this year and due to a large tree it only gets about 6 hours of direct sunlight and about an hour or two of shaded light. She is very healthy and is showing preflowers so i think you should be ok bro.

same problem with me I have tress around, but this is my first grow im not stressing too much.I think there getting enough light, although they could get way more if i moved them around every couple hours but im lazy

This has been sum good reassuring info. Because I don't have a indoor set up and the temps are right at 100 everyday. I have been sitting my babies outside for like 6 hours a day in direct sunlight then moving them to my window sill as to harden them to this hot ass weather before permanently moving them out in a week or two.

well sense you keep asking for pics here's 2 of my ladies that get shaded by my barn in the morning but then get sun from around 11 to 8

well that pics from this season so its still vegging thou im about 80% sure those to are girlies flower pics come in a few months

Any pics from previous grows? 2008? 2007? 2006? Perhaps even 2005? Be sure to post the amount of time your plants were exposed to sunlight;-) Let's get this thread hoppin!
