What is the Deal with HERMIES? Pollination?

Happy Easter! :weed: I have been gone for a week. My plant turned Hermie about two - three weeks ago. Since I have been gone, I have not been able to pluck off the "male balls" that she/he has produced. I have a constant fan blowing, and my concern is that my girl may not have been able to get all of them, and may have self pollinated on a few buds. The main cola is perfect, but I am still worried. I am going back sunday, and she will be without water for two days. How can you tell if it is pollinated ? Does it affect the whole plant, or just the buds that were pollinated?

Well, that can be, But mostly stress. along with other factors including light interupption and heat fluctuation and so on. Many things can turn it hermie.

I tried that plucked all male parts off..
then next day there were more, and more and then just killed it...
too much to loose on my end of it... I don't think you can really tell if it's been polinated right away,, like with a girl, just wait you'll see. one day you'll just know... oops.

Sorry to hear your plant turned hermie, i`m afraid that it will be very seedy.

We have experimented with hermies after we had 3 last grow and the balls r in the buds to and you wont really see them untill after you harvest. You can tell if its pollinated by the white hairs turning brown and shrivling up.

All 3 hermies where still pretty ok to smoke tho.

If this is all you have going, grow them out and smoke the bud, its better then nothing!!
