I put a turkey bag on the Volcano, and smoked bubblegum/hashplant. We swapped out the turkey bag for a volcano bag after a couple bowls because it tasted like ass. Maybe you only notice the bad taste on really tasty weed? Also, there are several brands of turkey bags on the market, maybe i just got a shitty one?
yeah I'd be willing to bet you got a shitty one.

only buy Reynolds Turkey Oven Bags ;).

glass part at the top, easy to break off, I've heard it uses a fan which is inefficient and loud.

the controls suck without the remote I've heard as well.
[
it's pretty much a shitty vape compared to the herbalaire, which is built with no breakable parts like glass . . . teflon on the interior and glass-filled nylon on the exterior

but really, it's all biased out there anyway.

if you wanna buy that shitty extreme with it's shitty warranty glass parts that'll break on you etc. have fun. I"m done trying to convince people not to spend money on shitty vaporizers. or too much on one that could obviously be a couple hundred dollars less . . . (volcano . . .)
Well i like my crappy glass parts and my 3 YEAR WARRANTY is sketchy how???????

Also to all my Extreme Vape ppl out there whats your favorite temp? So far it seems to be 225 for me with the fan at level 2

195...for a bag...fan speed 1...for vapor blasters...2

Teflon is for cooking eggs...glass is for buds:weed:

teflon is great for vaporizing.

it's tough, doesn't react to heat till 450-500 degrees F, which is never going to be reached by this vaporizer.

but for real, have fun with your glass that could break at any wrong move . . . and last I heard that warranty is hella sketchy, only covering the heating element, and if you bought it for cheaper than the manufacturers price then your warranty is void.

but who cares, it's all about just vaping. my favorite vape is the herbalaire, your favorite is obviously something you wasted your money for and are trying to justify it's worth.

have fun with that one buddy.

I own three all glass bongs and have not broken one piece of glass... why are you so worried about the glass breaking? As long as you aren't a clumsy fool than you have nothing to worry about. Do you tell people to get non glass bongs and pipes because they could break as well?

with my vaporizer, I prefer something that isn't going to break on me if it accidentally falls off the table.

I believe this is a continual problem for EVERY stoner. it's BOUND to happen at one point or another, so why risk such an expensive vape with glass?

I say if you're paying 250+ on something, it shouldn't be made out of something as fragile as glass.......

Turkey bags are fun and all and the volcano is sweet. I choose the Supervapezilla. I like the glass on glass bowl with the whip. It is accurate, looks simple, and works great!

They even give you a spare bowl...for those who are clumsy...

The heating element is a lifetime warranty:

Warranty Info: (quoted)

All units carry a lifetime warranty on the heating elements and a three year parts and labor against defects in material or workmanship.
For repairs/warranty contact customer service at [email protected] When sending the unit in for repair do not include any glass parts. Glass parts are not covered under warranty.

A bit passive-aggressive there poplars...don'tcha think?

BTW...this vaporizer was recommended by my Doc...when he told me I should be vaping and I said I have a vaporizer that I don't really like...he said "Oh, you'll like this one"

not really, perhaps a bit misinformed.

regardless, you're still screwed if your top-glass-on-glass connector breaks. and I"m not talking spare bowls, I"m talking what it connects to into the TOP, you don't get a spare one of those.

not to mention doesn't that thing use a fan instead of pneumatic pump?

that must be loud as fuck.

If anything breaks, glass or other, you can buy replacements parts as easy as ordering a bulb online. My buddies digi super vapzilla was bought used for $260. He broke the connector a year later. Ordered another for $20.

Would you rather this be made out of wood?

so you're trying to tell me, that the GLASS that that BOWL connects to, isn't anything to worry about?

it CANNOT be replaced unless the company was willing to do so, and it says specifically in the warranty that they do not replace the glass parts .

who cares if you have an extra bowl if you have nothing to hook it up into?

I'd much rather it be made out of teflon + high grade metals + nylon filled glass like my herbalaire . . .

but also, you posted a pic of a glass bong, for smoking. you wouldn't use teflon for smoking, as the temperature is too high.

in fact, this is a vaporizer thread, why even post a pic of a bong? I know you can get a vaporizer-type hookup for one, but towards this argument it's entirely pointless.

Thats a general phrase. something...

Thats why there is a post of a $250 piece of something...yes its a bong, and yes this is a vaporizer thread.

As for claiming which unit is better, there are many variables. I don't own a vaporizer, My friends on the other hand have basically everything on the market when it comes to vaps. I like the herbalairs quality, smoke properties, ease of use and think its great for the money. I like the volcano @ parties, and I like the super vapzilla's taste properties the best. I also prefer a the whip design.

All of them make great machines and hold both zeniths and shortcomings.

This is just like audiology. Equipment, and environment can only make up so much for the experience. It's the listener that is the variable and each has individual and unique experiences and ways to perceive them.

Some things you buy have limited warranties. Things either happen or they don't. If you have to special order the unit and pay $500 retail, perhaps you might not have a problem paying $20 for a new connector, or having a 3rd party make one. Maybe you do though, and in this case curse the unit forever!

I had a friend that bought a McIntosh 275 reissued tube amp for over 5 grand. His table broke and is went bye bye one day crashing to the floor. If he had a solid state amp, it might have been fine. To him, the 275 was a representation of perfect sound and his listening experience. Even though a solid state can be more forgiving in a fall, it still didn't have the experience the 275 had.

I never said you shouldn't worry about the glass bowl. Its something that has to be accounted for, but isn't something that makes the unit as a whole, a bad experience. Im agreeing with you on quality but there are so many other factors at play here:weed:

herbalaire is definitely my favorite for now. but if the volcano was 350 it would probably be my favorite . . .

No worries, I should have said that from the very beginning!

I really enjoy my buddies Helix. Not a vaporizer, but an interesting method of smoking.

It's really interesting to watch people get high on the different methods. WHen I smoke a vaporizer, we are always sitting down and generally feel a more heady buzz. Its a great medium for brainstorming the unknown!

My favorite though; when someone tries that bong for the first time. I packed this bubble I pressed on the top of the bowl and he ripped it. It takes a mighty set of lungs to hit that pipe with 5 separate water containers and three feet of glass. Oh he went somewhere.... where... we will never know.

I guess something strange could happen...though it is well recessed...The 2010 model is a little different than the one you posted the pic of...and it is very quiet (your mom would not suspect a thing:roll:)

Are you between harvests again poplars???...

What is the best price anyone has seen on a NEW not used Volcano?
If you have links that would be awesome too, I'm trying to set up a wholesale volcano account.

The best price i ever saw on a new Volcano was $475, at Mile High Pipes, in Boulder Colorado. (anyone who ever finds themselves in Boulder, check this store out. It has an amazing selection of vapes, pipes, water pipes, and rolling papers.)
Its hard to get Volcano's cheap enough to do wholesale. One of my local shops refuses to sell it cause if he sells one, he only makes 10 bucks, and has to buy 10 or more to get that price. And then he has to keep several thousand dollars in inventory, while waiting to sell them all. I hope you can get a good wholesale price. Good luck man!
