what is the best length of time to veg your ladies?..

ive searched a bit and, i cant seem to find a lot on, how long should one veg?
i looked through a lot of RIU for some answers,i didnt look that hard though.
i have read once they reach maturity, blah. and others force them. but, when do you decide its time to flip? just looking for some opinions. im very stoned, but i think this makes sense...

On That note you can veg from 1 to 4 or more weeks the more you veg the better your end yield . On mY regular plant`s grow I veg for at least 3 to 4 weeks before I switch to 12/ 12 / Some will start 12/12 as seedlings /

Guess its preference and how long you are willing to Waite LOL shorter veg = less yield / smaller plants faster finish ( / longer veg bigger yeild/ taller fatter plants for those nug`s to grow longer to finish,,
its all about the time my friend I like to finish fast so i switched to auto flowering strains that are as tall and as full as my reg. Impressive new Auto-flowering options out here now

Its the time factor Now and Patience is the key if you are short on grow time you veg less if you have the time 3 to 4 weeks minimum I am On a Auto flowering grow now the have been vegging for 3 weeks now and are about ready to start auto flowering on there own at 18/6 light cycle / Good Luck My brother

also dependant on grow space growing methods and strains
i vegd for 4 weeks in soil, using a 1.2x1.2x2m grow tent and you have to take into acount that they are still growing roughly 3 weeks into the flowerig cycle.
so if you veg them till theyre a foot tall they can double or more in size.
next grow will be using a wilma 10 pot using hydro nutes,
so veg will be a short one ie around 2 weeks max, as the pots are quite close together.

short answer is its totally upto you!

thanks spyvy. i have been vegging for 3 weeks so far. thinking of going one, maybe two more weeks before flowering. i just dont want a 7 ft plant, hence my asking opinions. this is my fist grow. good info though.

edit: they are around 18inches now

yeah, makes good sense. thanks. i have some space. lsting all my ladies, still dont want 7ft ladies though.

Start 12/12 flowering now 18 inch now will get you and end height of about 3 1/2 to 4 foot They will jump in height as soon as you start 12/12 so figure on at least a 4 footer if you start 12/12 now

ok, thanks. i just re-potted last night. so, ill give them a day or two to adjust before i start 12/12

veg time depends on the room but more the amount of light. having 7 footers is a waste with a small light. even with a big light, maybe many big lights.

one month is a sure bet and u cant go wrong

Three weeks then I top. Give a couple days to recover then its 12/12..

no one answer to this, really from 0-hundreds of weeks I personally like to look for alternating nodes before I flower, but if they just get too big I will flower too.

thanks. 400 w mh/hps
150 w hps
6 100 w cfls 65k then 6 27k for flower
2 4ft 54w t5 ho strips

the room is 5 ft by 5ft, 9ft tall. all the light and plants are condensed down to 3x3x3.
and the 7 ft thing is why i dont want 7 ft ones, it is a waste.

well id say id flower about 8 - 12 ish inches under that lighting then. hope ya have a good exhaust fan. kinda lots of lighting for a small erea, then i see poeple m,ove the lkight up and get airy buds to keep it cool enough. the 2 hps in there is enough id say

I have vegged for 3 months and my tallest is 26" and my shortest is 18", im now into day 2 of flowering. I have 9 plants from regular big bud seeds so i'm still waiting to find out what sex they are, definitely going to get feminised seeds next time around, im in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0 grow tent with a 600HPS lamp, got carbon filter too cos of neighbours.

thanks. yeah, they are already around 18inches tall. but two are runty and im waiting for them to catch up. maybe two more weeks at most.

LOL, I have had so many comments about my avatar, she is very popular. Yeah I think I will start a flowering journal, that is providing that they don't all turn out to be male.

hahaha. talk about it. as for the temp with all thoes lights, it stays around 79. the hottest it gotten is 87.
