What is the average time it takes pistils to appear after starting 12/12?

Ahhh .. people always looking for other remedies for flowering and what gives out best results... call me old school, But 18/6 Veg And 12/12 flower has always gave me beautiful Lush green plants... the trick for high Yields is "HID Lights" ... lol
 
hmmm ive been to lots of places that get 18 or more hrs of light... lol anyway if your going 12/12 from seed mine normally take 2-3 weeks, which is why i preferto veg a week or 2 then switch. they end up being the same height but one isnt as stretchy
 
I veg for 20/4 and flower for 14/10. This has never let me down and I like a little extra light for my girls. I believe this adds a bit to the yield as it is an increase of 14 hours of light during flower per week in comparison to the 12/12 cycle. Just have to account for the fact that the plants will be using up more water/nutrients with the increase in light.
 
I record all my grows and the shortest time is zero(began flowering in veg-Chrystal and LSD) the longest was a Sativia called WaiKiKi Queen at 16 days after 12/12. On average 5-10. It also depends how long you veg for many strains. Also for me most clones vs seedlings begin flowering much sooner, usually within 5 days after 12/12 switch.

I am only growing on my own for the 2nd time at the moment but have worked with other farmers as a consultant/helper for a few years. From my completed first grow it ended up being a 120 day grow from seed of Super Silver Haze. I switched her from Veg at Day 45 I believe so that makes it 75 days flower. Had problems controlling the height as it is very Sativa. The quality was very good in my opinion with the 14/10 light cycle at flower. In retrospect, I could have let her go for another week but I got a little impatient ;).

You have lights on 14 hours?? In flower ????
 
I've only grown 2 plants before, both at the same time and Kali Mist (80% Sativa) which was already showing pistils in veg, took 4 days to properly start forming buds. My Knockout strain, indic a dominant took about 9 days.

The most important factor by a absolutely mile is genetics. The rest is secondary but still as you're most probably aware of is still very crucial.
 
My 0.02$

It will depend on the plants readyness to bloom (strain depended too I guess).
Some call that preflower.
The plant will have grown to a point where it wants/'is able' to get in the next stage (bloom).
To me it looks like the plants grow a lot of smaller bushy like leaves, also a bit down the stem (not only on top).
It looks like its showing a little more bushy growth after a periode of growing tall and strong and might increase its transpiration; increasing the humidity.
Flip 12/12 during that growth and its likely within a week (depending on conditions) that pistils will grow/show.
 
I have a baby that was in veg. For 50 days. Clipped once. And now flowering 12\12 for 6 days so far... Should I go to 13 off? No signs of pistols yet.plant 55 days.jpg

What strain is that? looks a little funky
 
I couldn't say exactly. It was a feminized seed from my pops. I clipped the top once. Bent all branches down. Created 10 buds. I will post a new thread for some ideas. This thing is a beast.
