I just got what i thought was a pH meter but its a ppm meter. what can i use this for? what ppm should my water be?
from what i have read in several forums, 400ppm for veglings, slowly work it up to the 600-800ppm range mid veg (maybe 3-4 weeks in) then maxing out around 1200ppm during the peak of flower. toward the end of flower you want to bring the ppm way down and use more of a flushing agent. if you use the measurements you could be flirting with some serious burn. some plants can handle it, most can't.. less=more with nutes. better to be a bit short than to burn the heck outta your babies.ppm= part per million.
you want different ranges in different stages of growth ...
lower ppms during seedling stage around 800 ppm
around 1200-1400 ppm for veggin...
1200-1700 throughout flowering...
It's good to know if you already have the meter...
