Hi everybody! I got some wedding cake thats in right now in 3-4 weeks of flower. I came across something fuzzy but cant determine what it is. Is it that start of some type of mold or is something happening to the trichomes?
i used a microscope and the plants are clean. RH fluctuates but i do not have a humidity reader over here. I just added another big fan in the middle of the room for better air circulation. But the fuzzy thing is similar to cotton candy. too much sugar perhaps?

thats mold. cut any affected buds and get them out of there asap
could be those genetics are particularly susceptible to it, but i would clean your space thoroughly and beef up your air circulation either way. this isnt necessarily game over, but you will need to be extra vigilant on this run
If you have bud rot the plant will rot from the inside out. I lost 23oz to this and yours look how mine started. I hope to god it's not. Wiping the fluff off will do nothing get some deviant air flower going keep it as dry as you can and pray. Good luck.
is it possible that its like one of those floating seed pods that just got stuck there? If not, it does look like mold and not bud-rot, check towards the stem to confirm.
