What is a good PPM to stay at?

What PPM seems to work well for most plants (both indica and sativa)? My water is 250 ppm to begin with (Calcium and magnesium I suppose). Is 1500 ppm a bit much? Is 1200 to 1000 usually a better level to stay at? I seem to notice a bit of leaf under curl occuring around 1500 so I'm guessing it is a bit much.

Id suggest doing some more reading on ppms. They will need different ppms depends on how old they are, but over 1000 is flowering only.

Sorry, knew I was forgetting something. Yes, I'm in flowering. babysas, that sounds like a weak mixture only for sprouts.

I decided to back them off a bit to 1100. Considering the base water is already 250, that's a bit under 1000 but I'll see how it goes.
