I saw 'brom' and immediately thought bromine/bromide, too. I'm guessing someone frequently/like to be involved in 'bromance' or a fan of such relationships.

Okay, I think I get it--Is it the periodic table? . . . ascending means going up. . .so does bromide add an electron to become chloride then ? Something like that? I wish I had paid more attention in chemistry. I would love to know how to make some compounds. . .
