You obviously don't. Even though all the cops/private security guys I know spend more time at the range than anyone else I know....

I think the lower half of the body is only slightly harder to hit than the top half. Maybe it takes 2-3 shots, maybe they all hit him in the legs... better than offing an unarmed guy, who would've been charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and a strongarm robbery.(Probably a few other minor offenses)

Hardly worth 6 shots intended to kill.

I know a few. Had a couple friends that decided they wanted to do it, stopped smoking weed for a year and started college to be a cop. Also know a few from the range.

It is sound self defense doctrine that has been learned and refined for several hundred years, when one is forced to pull the trigger you shoot at the largest target that has the highest probability to negate the threat.
It is used so the good guy (you) gets to go home and the bad guy (him) quits doing what ever he was doing.

I'm not making a judgement on whom is right or wrong in this situation - the facts are not in yet & I'll wait until they are.

I was responding to the tactical statement, not the legal/moral dilemma everyone seems to have while reading "evidence" between the lines.

Simply put I don't know if he was running away or attacking (nor do you) so again I'll withhold judgement until we DO know what really happened.

That should be the response when you see a weapon. When there's no weapon and the guy is running away, you need to be held accountable for your actions.

Guy he was running away at first. EVERYONE even Josie says that. Question is why is a cop shooting at someone running away. Hell they even found a bullet lodge in the neighbors wall.

From what has been released, he had entry wounds on front of arm and top of head. No way a person with their hands over head can get entry wounds in fronfront of arm. They would be on underside. And a 5' 10 person can not shoot a person in top of head unless that person is facing shooter with head in a lowered position.

You guys aren't getting it - I'm not here to take sides and I really don't care to speculate on "what if's".

GN was just talking about military training, not taking sides. That's how I took it.

I'm saying that use of deadly force is only warranted in situations where lives are in danger. Even then, if reasonable, and time allows, other measures should be taken.
