What if MJ were a schedule 2

Hi, I have a question about the drug classification. From the reports I'm reading it looks like Obama wants to make MJ a schedule 2 narcotic. ( No mention on state of the union, that would of been huge) Which is a step in the right direction but still ridiculous. Anyway, like some others on the forum here I have my cdl, I also have my OUPV license. Both of those require random dot drug tests. As a schedule 2 drug my understanding of the rules is that if I have a prescription for it then i can be allowed to have thc metabolites in my system and still pass the drug test. Let me get this straight i would never use marijuana while I was drive a vehicle or boat but when I get home you bet your ass i will. Will a California doctors recommendation allow me to have the thc metabolites in my system for a coast guard or dot drug test? Obviously assuming MJ gets reclassified.

Even if it is reclassified I highly doubt the coast guard would accept you. They are the hardest branch to get into already, and drugs aren't looked upon too highly by any branch.
