Apologies, I can't get past the post where the antagonist presented the growers of the 70s and early 80s as devolving the process. He is full of shitWhat do you mean, i didn't say anything about that.. You quoted me on something else
well from my side weed has gotten a lot stronger i remember smoking bags with friends now 0.14 will keep me lost for 5 hours. It seems to me like all the weed genetics have been filtered out Lost and weed is getting weaker And there's plenty of whack seeds floating about ?
you just have to see a photo from 2012 canabbis cup winner and now. you cant see the leafs anymore from cristalsI can tell you've been paying attention to the breeding programs announced by various seed companies.
You don't know what you don't know, do you?
You are ignoring what I am saying, because you have no context to understand my point.you just have to see a photo from 2012 canabbis cup winner and now. you cant see the leafs anymore from cristals
As far as ive read on other forums there congolese came from someone who got it from a genebank supposedly but i aint asked angus directly so i aint 100% on that one i think its a repro from old seedsWell of course, they've been working it for quite a long time selecting plants that are the most desireable. But it's not Chunky Strawberry Monkey x Pineapple Stargazer Haze or anything like that. ACE has already done much of the work in selecting the best plants of specific strains. Most people don't want to plant a bunch of seeds and end up with half the plants being ones you don't want to use. Which is what you get with more wild specimens.
As far a TRSC and the Congolese they have. I don't know the history of all their strains but they do let you know if it was sourced locally or if it's a reproduction as some are.
wouldnt my 15 year daily smoking from street to coffie shop and selfe raised as random seeds and from famous breeders qualify me?You are ignoring what I am saying, because you have no context to understand my point.
You are judging the quality of something you've never experienced, rather than just saying "OK, man. I don't believe you, but maybe I'll try it for myself."
My point was the loss of terpene groupings and the effect upon the entourage effect caused by the breeding programs of the prohibition period.
If you think cannabis is best judged by eye, what are we even talking about?
Why do they bother with the pesky chemical analysis.
They just aren't as smart as the closet growers on rollitup, I guess.
There will ALWAYS be a market for corporate poly hybrids.
Twice the market than for the sort of cannabis I am talking about, because the clueless smokers will suffer tolerances and smoke it like it's a Marlboro.
The impulse to argue, rather than communicate, speaks about the person behind the keyboard.
You can lead a horse to water, but if it wants RootBeer, it will remain thirsty.
I'm talking about going back and reintroducing what was lost.wouldnt my 15 year daily smoking from street to coffie shop and selfe raised as random seeds and from famous breeders qualify me?
what i said about eye judgeing is simple the amouts of crystals 10 years ago 15% was considered amazing now 35% is normal thats double the amout of thc on the same surface.
i never judged quality of weed each strain does different stuff to me not just strains different stages of growth.
only problem with breeding i see is most of the world is doing polyhybrids pure sativas are getting lost because they are too slow and not good for factory production.
I can't make them understand using everyday language, and you offer university level proof for me?I'm just going to leave this here and walk away:
Chapter: Landraces and Crop Genetic Improvement
Landraces are repository of gene pool that enrich biodiversity and maintain and stabilize ecosystem in a sustainable way to make it functional. Cultivation of traditional crops in different regions ofwww.intechopen.com
yea but finidning landraces has become really hard now they dont grow in many places. some places that it grows it was introduced there a few 100 years ago it is and it isnt a landrace.I'm talking about going back and reintroducing what was lost.
I am not campaigning to go back to 16 week grows for everyone.
If the strains we know today hadn't HAD to come from stock that had it's genetics ravaged, there's no telling how many MORE flavorful and medicinal strains would be available.
But as things stand, only by introducing something into your diet that comes from stock that WASN'T damaged in prohibition, can you experience what average smokers in the 80s knew.
I've been at this since the 70s, in one way or another, first as a witness, then a participant.
I don't understand where the argument comes from when someone tells you "There's more to this if you look!".
I don't think you're being as clear as you think you are, portions of your posts have been on point and some have veered off into weird oversimplifications bordering on misinformation (Caveman + Hindu Kush?). I make no presumptions about people's ability to read and glean at least some information, there are all sorts of people on here.I can't make them understand using everyday language, and you offer university level proof for me?
I appreciate it, but I think it's out of place, now that I am speaking to the interested individuals here.
Have you not heard of Ace seeds? They are not the nly ones preserving landraces, but Ace specializes in Sativa.yea but finidning landraces has become really hard now they dont grow in many places. some places that it grows it was introduced there a few 100 years ago it is and it isnt a landrace.
like jamaica you can find fields of weed and they are all different they are growing on its own there for 50 years now but they started with weedguys droping some good genetics there
i agree with you it would be grate to have them but nobody wants to lower their thc % to have a new genetic with something thats almost like street weed.
as for me i see it still indoor breed and no need for any new genetics that will make her more healthy it doesnt have any problems. thc is still the most important to have
You should quote where I said that.I don't think you're being as clear as you think you are, portions of your posts have been on point and some have veered off into weird oversimplifications bordering on misinformation (Caveman + Hindu Kush?). you probably won't get that. You should quote where I said that.
i dont have access to ace are they american?Have you not heard of Ace seeds? They are not the nly ones preserving landraces, but Ace specializes in Sativa.
You obviously haven't tried Golden Tiger.
It's a 100% sativa that tests around 34% THC and it's got an incredible spread of terpenes.
I'm talking about improving cannabis, not regressing.
The analysis of Golden Tiger
10-14 week plant - most land around 12 for me.
My last purchase was through OAseeds. They got a deal where you get a lot of freebies. I got my Critical Orange Punch as a freebie. Best freebie I ever grew. I think there's a dealer in Canada, but they were fairly rude to me.i dont have access to ace are they american?
well there allways has to be somebody that will breed for thc for looks for color for smell for ...... you know how it goes.
golden tiger looks interested i will try to find it here
Hello @Roger A. Shrubber. I see you like Canuck seeds, and I have an OG Kush seed from Canuck. Have any experience with that strain? I've had it a while because I have lots of others, but I love kush and was wondering if its worth spending 3 or 4 months growing it out. I grew a couple other canuck seeds a while back but I can't remember what. I think they were ok, but I've kind of forgotten about that breeder.i guess it depends on where you get your genetics.
i've been dealing with the vault, PEV, and canuck for a few years, and haven't had any reason to complain.
there is a blending going on, and those who want a "pure" sativa or indica may have a hard time finding those unadulterated genetics, but i haven't found anything to complain about as far as quality goes, one bowl of the weed i grow is usually enough for two people to get pretty fucked up..
