What harm is there in an early harvest?

Little actual drawback to chopping at 6 weeks if they are drooping. You will get a ton of grow purists who think that harvest before all the pistils turn orange is sacreligious. Bullshit. As long as the nugs are sticky you have viable product. Another 2 weeks flowering will increase your yield a lot and the quality some. It's a trade-off the grower has to decide. If it suits your needs to chop early go ahead and you can argue with the purists.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Actually most purists check the thrichomes not the pistils..pulling a 10 week plant at week 6?...the smoke will be akin to eating a dark green banana, sure its edible but .....

I reckon try really hard not to pull early. You'll get an extra ~15% weight in the last 2 weeks, sometimes more. Def worth the hassle of tying them up.
The high from premy/imature bud is weird...not complete, and only lasts 1/3rd of the time it ought to/usually does. I find I get a headache also from smoking.
You need to get a jewellers loupe (or other magnifying glass at least ~30x magnification) and check the trichomes. (The crystally things). Ideally you want them to be cloudy white. They will go from clear to cloudy to bronzey-brown coloured. When they go dark they have gone too far and the THC has started to degrade.

In saying the above. If you're a complete lightweight it'll get you high already so pull if you want, gives you the opportunity to clean up and restart and flip earlier or sort out some sorta scrog etc to support their weight. Try to go at least another week if you can though..the closer to finished they are, the better they'll be.

haha exactly. you'd take that shit back lol. I feel that after waiting for the maybe 4-6 weeks time for veg and then already 6 weeks of flower, it has to be pretty dire to pull now. Imho you'll have pretty much wasted 10+ weeks for -at very best- mediocre smoke.
