What happens when...

The next time we encounter an expert marksman with an ability to quick change his magazines opting to enter a school and kill children then maybe we can take this seriously.

I believe I can find vids of people fumbling around, taking many seconds in order to change their magazines - is that proof of anything either?

We could talk about how an ordinary man can't outrun the police in a foot chase and then find a video of some quick ass sprinter and somehow make that mean that no policeman can ever outrun any perp.
You remind me of a Canadian dollar.bongsmilie

What happens when some nut goes and wipes out a classroom full of kids with a single shot, bolt action rifle? Or a pump shotgun? Or a six shot revolver? Are they going to ban those too?
the reloading time would make them vulnerable to being overtaken. empirical evidence tells us so.

you're just making the argument for regulating magazine size for us. thanks.

A stupid statement when it was invented - a stupid statement now.

1. HOW is the government going to take away your guns?
2. If they opted to do so, would you give yours up?
3. now, are you a criminal?
I noticed that you called it stupid, but not incorrect.

1) watch, wait, see.
2) Rather not.
3) By definition, yes.

Lock a buildings doors and set it on fire. Drive a car into crowded street event. Yank steering wheel of a bus and run it off a cliff. Poison the water or food. Create any one of a hundred poison gasses. Blow up a gas tanker, Spray white gas with an improvised fuel air explosive. The ways of mass killing are infinite and not affected by gun bans as history has shown. There has been several examples of people shooting with bolt action rifles and killing dozens. All it requires is a crowd and high ground.

In the case of a school, the only one who will rush you would be the teacher, which you no doubt would have shot first. In a land with no guns, the man with a large knife is king.

Here is a perfect example of gun-tote think. There is no logical progression because there can be none. Certainly all these things CAN happen, but the weapon of choice is still the firearm - this near constant occurance is never explained. Then there is the "well..... people in high places can shoot bolt action...." as though that has any relevance since most of these shootings are NOT from high places. Finally there is a nod-sequiter about there being no guns and..... knives.

As you can see, always the same, the argument is never rational and not appropriate to the situation. Sometimes intentionaly, some times not.

Wouldn't be hard. I can get several shots off accurately in less than a minute with the right bolt action or lever action rifle. The only thing is I would need is two rifles to have the magazine capacity, depending on the weapons, or one reload That is why laws banning so called assault weapons is ridiculous.

It all starts with taking away the black scary guns than it's onto all semi-autos, guns with removable mags etc. One step at a time they will take our rights away. What right do you want to keep? Maybe freedom of religion matters to you? That too can be taken away and turn you into a criminal for your beliefs. You can't pick and choose what rights the government can trample. All or nothing.
Over here anything that LOOKS like a military grade firearm is banned, all handguns are banned and other guns require a licence (per gun, serials recorded) that you basically have to jump through tiny lava filled hoops to get.

Last week an armed Garda detective was killed by criminals when he was protecting a cash in transit van.

He walked over to a car and got blasted in the face point blank with a 5 shot, standard hunting shotgun.

Most criminal shootings are with handguns funnily enough with AKs (the proper one, not this semi-auto shite) and even Mac-11 sub-machine guns.

For the very last time:

FACE IT PEOPLE... GUN BANS DON'T FUCKING WORK!!!

They simply disarm normal, law abiding citizens and make criminals far MORE dangerous.

People get stabbed here all the time too, hatchets, bricks, broken glasses...

The evidence shows, an armed society is a polite society.

Ban the firearm and there will be a new weapon of choice.

Ban that new weapon of choice and then a new weapon of choice will emerge.

Ban that new emerging weapon and a new weapon of choice will emerge.

This can go on until our only weapon to protect ourselves and our freedoms with will be the Spoon. I want to be the first on record to say that I want to keep my Spoon! You probably won't hear someone say that they want to keep their Spoon again...by the time they want to take your Spoons, you'll have lost your First Amendment rights, also.
