only the plant will know just look at the trichs!! trichs never lie !! you want 60% of them to become cloudy...roughly give or take 5%!!

He means, What happens if you dont harvest when your supposed to and let the plant keep going, what will it do?

yes when i dnt harvest in appropriate time ???
More than likely will cause it to kick bananas out of the buds and start making little feminized seeds. Or it will do a big fat nothing and the bud may turn yellow from not being harvested and dried properly..... there are loads of things that can happen.
Hell mold could harvest your crop if you cant on time! hahaha

Whats the limiting factor that you cant harvest bro?

8 weeks period
You need to get a littttle more in depth about what your trying to say bro!

If your saying you dont want to harvest at the 8 week period then your trichs are going to turn all amber, your bud sitts on that plant another 2 weeks and you can count on it turning yellow or orangish colored, it may also smell or taste different. Im going to just sum it up with ALOT OF UNDISERABLE THIG WILL HAPPEN, TRY TO CHOP HER AT 8 WEEKS IF SHE IS A 8 FLOWERER, OTHEREWISE JUST WATCH THE TRICHS IN A MICROSCOPE AND WAIT UNTIL MOST OF THEM ARE MILKY WHITE AND START TURNING AMBER! OR GO HALF AMBER HALF WHITE. REALLY JUST DEPENDS ON THE DESIRED SMOKE!:peace:

Peace bro and best of luck to you in your grows!

I kinda go by what JohnnyGreenApples says, when the tricomes are about 1/3 to 1/2 amber and the rest still clear, it's time to harvest. If you wait longer the THC in will start degrading and your finished product won't be as potent.

Its not that it wont be as potent bro, and I dont mean to question you but I have never heard of it degrading. That could be very possible depending on the conditions your growing in though, as mold will eat your thc and make it crumble along with the buds.

As for the final product, it will still be as potent in my eyes:eyesmoke: haha. I like to think it will just smoke more harsh and smell less pleasing.

I myself have had a plant go damn near 2 months over due for harvest and the light clycle turned back and it started to reveg and that is when it was put in under lights to finish out the reveged product, at that point after harvest happened there had been buds left on there from before reveg and those buds actually were just as potent as the new ones, the flavor was much more different than the new ones and the high was different but there are so many factors that come into play when you dont do things as they are intended to being done so bro!;-)

THC/Cannabinoids degrade or change.
Are you saying they change? I'll agree with you on that as I noted.
As for degrading I dont really think they degrade unless there is a bigger factor such as powder mold or something along the lines of a disease or pest causing them to degrade!

Do you disagree? It will still be as potent just sitting on the plant but as we both stated it will change it, such as taste, high, and affects!

I just dont agree that it will degrade or get less potent, I will settle with you on the fact that it is constantly going to change even after the life of the plant that it is on, even if its months!;-)
