LOL at "the most active thread." Oh no, maybe the site will "take a lick!"
Relax, the thread is still there and can be restored. Maybe the advertisers who actually PAY for the right to use this site complained about it.
I can see how a site owner might see that situation like a bunch of squatters taking up residence in his home.
Problem is, the "squatters" are no other companies, but actual members, sharing their passion and trying to help other members with the same interest.
Makes no sense to delete something that brings traffic to a site just because the company being discussed doesn't pay advertising.
The hardest part is getting people to a site at all.
Once you accomplish that you have the opportunity to show them other content.
Other vendors (or potential vendors) would do well to notice that the thing that attracts so many people to greenpoint is great prices for great products. Maybe if they took a marketing lesson from Gu~ their own views/posts would increase?
Eliminating greenpoint content will not make more people interested in their offerings.
