in my grow spot the soil is very wet and impossible to work with in terms of planting straight in the ground, naturally i have decided that i will need to grow in pots and i have done much research and have come up with a idea which may or may not work for me. as i am only growing 3 plants (1 auto, 2 photos) i have only prepared about 35L of my growmix, my plan for potting is too have a openended barrel/pot buried about 3inches into the ground and filled with my growmix. as mentioned the soil in my spot is very wet and i do not have very much growmix made, my thinking is that this will fix both of those problems allowing the roots (once matured to a certain point) to grow out of the container into the raw soil.will this hurt the plant? i will attach a photo of the soil to give a better look at the condition of it but the best way i can descirbe it is like muddy/wetland. any help or past experiences is appreciated Screenshot 2024-07-18 23.32.26.pngScreenshot 2024-07-18 23.34.18.pngbongsmilie

If it's that wet look up swamp tubes might suit you and if your short on soil you could mix 50 50 native soil to grow mix stuff just means you will feed a bit more but should stretch it further this is assuming your native soil ain't bad of course
