Sounds brutal.Top Gun for NES. Was one of the hardest games ever made, and not just my opinion.. If you could beat the second mission by landing on the aircraft carrier way back in the day (before internet guides), you're a $#%'ing legend.
My never got through game was F-16 combat pilot. It came on 3 hd 5 1/4 disks. For those of you who never had to load multiple disk games on your PC and run a boot disk ( saves resources) well your welcome. A whole generation of pong players took that bullet so you could blow on a cartridge and make it work.
Anyways it starts with 5 training missions you have to complete and NO RESPAWN. You had to complete the training before the game would open up for the story mission.
The approximate time for the whole training mission part was about 5 hours. The final mission was a bombing mission on a bridge and I would always hit a bridge wire and bounce right back to welcome to the 133 fighter bomber squadron page.
