What!?!?!? First time I ever saw such a thing.

So I cut open a red pepper and found 3 small looking red peppers growing inside of it. If this is growing without sunlight or soil, does that mean it can be grown underground? My guess is yes and no because bugs would eat them up if they were underground. But still pretty amazing to me. Almost like the plant is in a slow adaptation to grow without sun. Any input? Has anyone ever seen this before, Im sure some people on here have. Heres a picture

i believe it is a random mutation/disorder. they got their sun from its host. its kinda like if 3 sperm dudes got in one egg you get that 3 armed 2 headed one legged babies
 
nah...they couldn't be grown underground. Those peppers are still getting nutrients from the parent plant which is getting sunlight and all that jazz....if you tried to bury the pepper as person above said it would rot.
 
lol I see that alot in store bought peppers, wouldnt have a clue what it is. If you guys think its strange we must get some shit peppers here!
 
I've had it happen when I went to use a pepper for supper and there was almost no seeds but there was a bunch of those little plants growing and I get the ones that are loaded with seeds.

Red peppers bought from Lamberts rainbow fruit. good store, locally grown produce that always tastes great and very cheap prices. Not sure if they are organic or not but they're great.
