Yeah, here in Nv. we have nothing like that. If you get disabled off the job, you're screwed. On the job and we have workmans comp, which is I believe 66% of your normal gross pay, but still a cut in pay. Plus you must be certified by the state doctors.i knew i'd get 'em with that whole disability thing. lol FISH ON!!!!!!!
did you know that little box on your pay check that says "CA disability" actually means something? you would think someone who is soooooo highly educated would know this.
i broke my leg and had knee surgery so my Dr filed paperwork on my behalf. i was awarded 3 months of disability pay. i used it to help pay for a truck. i am a mooch of the state.
good stuff.
i didn't even ask for it. it was brought to me. but yeah, it's taken out of every check. i'm looking at a check stub here, it was for $1460. they took $39 out for CA disability.

workmans comp sucks, my husband was denied once because the workmans comp place didn't like the paper the doctor wrote the note on. He used his prescription pad and wrote on it, denied....... fuckers.......

Well, I guess you haven't been berated enough by him yet then. I have actually met Vi. He seemed like a likeable enough guy in person. We were careful not to discuss politics. Most people can be cordial untill either politics or religion or something personal is brought up in the conversation, then it's on. It's hard to like a guy that is an exact opposite of you in the political aspect and likes to call you a stinkin progressive liberal commie fascist nazi.I hope Vi is not leaving...

Kudos my friend. I'll not try and make you feel like shit, just thought you'd like to know, Mechanic needs the "H". I was also a Mechanic for nigh on to 20 years, owned my own 76 station in Ca. A mechanic is an honest work with your hands and mind job, fruit of the earth, no disrespect intended.

As far as the phone call, you caught me on a day I had a lot going on and really didn't have time to talk.
As far as being weird? I have had a lot to deal with over the past two years, what with me having to take my mother to hospitals in Dallas and Houston and the fact that I am also responsible for her care 24 hours a day. I don't really have the time to engage in something that I do not find intellectually stimulating or challenging. You follow a pack mantality, You swallow hook line and sinker the ravings of an Ex-vice president even though a lot of what he has to say has been proven to be bullshit.
I'm sorry that I don't fit into your little box Med, I am conservative on some subject matter and liberal on others. This is called being an independent thinker.
If I am unclear about the subject, I take the time to study up on it and don't spout off half cocked something that is utter bullshit.
Now I know that you have a clear and seething hatred for Vi, although we don't see eye to eye politically, we remain friends to this day and have been such for close to 10 years.
