What Ever happen to Those RIU people ?!?!?

You Guys ever notice how some people
just fuckin vanish from this website. I even noticed in one
thread i was subscribed too. The chick said will be back on later tonight with a pic update. and then nothing.That was moths ago.(2 that come to mind MamaBud and Filty Fletch)

Now I know some people just get tired of updating, but you gotta wonder sometime, if it's the poor bloke getting busted

I just wish i knew what happened sometimes

Someone just up and vanishing in the middle of an awesome growlog, never to sign on again ??

I noticed and notice it too. Then again I just returned last week from a good 8 months disappearance. I think most people who announce to everyone that they're leaving are attention whores though... Yeah send some PMs to friends maybe or get their contact info but no need for goodbye announcements lol.

its funny you mention this.. i just brought this same thing up to a fellow riu'er who is shut down for the moment.. she was a big part of the 25o watt club and we got to talking about some of the others that were on that thread in the beggining.. and i said.. i wonder what happens to some of these people.. i can understand a lot of people come here to riu and try it out for a bit, and either don't like the site, or are not cut out to grow or whatever... but i see a lot of people who have like over a thousand posts who just vanished.. it does make me wonder what happened to them..
it really does make you have more respect for the fdd2blacks and the illegal smiles and many many others who seem to have been here for years and aren't going anywhere anytime soon.. not a lot of people seem to stick and stay that long..
i would like to think that i will be one of those that are here for the long haul, but you never know what the future may hold in store for us.

I come-n-go all the time. Sometimes I'll go weeks or even months.
I think it's because I get bored with the same topics of discussion.

i like to think that some of thee are success stories.
like "i made 10,000$ off my last grow, invested it and
no-longer need to grow or work".

but who knows, noone likes or needs to post those stories
I suppose, but it would be cool if they did.

Maybe we need a new section on here called "The After".
where we take a look into the growers live after RIU

if you wanna have a good laugh, not really laugh, but... anyhoos... think of a good grow ? and google it, and hopefully you will come across an old thread on riu from like 07 or so.. look at some of those names.. look at most of those names.. very few of them are still her today and still active.. its definitely one to make you go hmmm.. well, atleast me..

I think the occasional rise of the "drama" here sends members off to other sites. Personally, I'm all for riding it out, staying with the site I know. But who knows if I'll feel the same a year from now?

some people get banned, some people moved on to different forums, some get busted, and some have other things to do than post on the internet

I leave to get away from all the hate sometimes. Seems like there are a few folks who post shit just to get folks mad or to hurt people's feelings, and I have a big mouth, so I'm not gonna sit back and not say anything in response...so I take a breather to get away from the negativity.
