what do you think?

This is my second grow, first one did not turn out too well. I changed the lighting up a bit, more light, and started it off right with more dirt and I buried that long stretchy stem this time. But i'm still learning and nowhere near perfect when it comes to this. So attached are some pics and im lookin for opinions on anything I should change or do differently. Plant is is 2-3rd week of flower. I veg'd it for about a month and when i switched to 12-12 it was alternateing nodes and showing female parts, which is why i did so. I am using 2 100 w cfls from the sides, raised above the plant slightly, and a 2foot t8 florescent light with 2x 18w (1200 lumens) bulbs. The cfl's are 2700k and the others are 3000k.

The pics are attached, and thanks for any recommendations in advance!329.jpg328.jpg331.jpg325.jpg

So two weeks into flower and I think shes lookin good so far. I changed some things around to give it more light, and easier access. More light, more heat, so I also added a fan which i dont think is doing enough. I keep my side cfl's atleast 3 inches away because the side growth is so sporadic in lengths, but today I bought a splitter and added 2 more lights to the same area. So I doubled my light output. The plant was already showing signs of leaf burn from lights but that was before i bought the fan about 4 days ago. I know theres nothing i can do about it but does it look serious and any tips/suggestions would be appreciated. The pictures on top are from November 29th and the pictures below are from today dec 6th so a week between each set.... thanks for all your input.

Looks Great! I would not sweat the tips at this point. Is that tinfoil or mylar? If the former, that may be the issue, foil can cause hot spots and that cn 'burn' or bleach the girls. Good luck! +rep for taking the leap into growing.

Looks pretty good. Nice work!

For such a budget grow, I give you an A.

edit:
Hell that looks as good as some hydro grows I've seen with much more expensive gear. Shh... not here at RIU of course. Lol.

okay another update! almost another week has come and gone and i think shes lookin great. Im still not sure why the tips are yellowish still as they are comming out so I moved the lights even further away just to see if it helps. here are the updated pics ill keep ya posted.026.jpg027.jpg028.jpg029.jpg030.jpg031.jpg032.jpg033.jpg034.jpg035.jpg ...edit* i also am pretty sure this is normal, but it seems as though alot of the undergrowth is wilting/dying off due to lack of light i would assume. As u can see, you can't really tell because the plant is so bushy to begin with. Should i just let it ride its course or do a little inner bush trimming? thanks

so far so good. i think you may have to provide support for all the side colas as they bulk up and get heavy. it would have been good under a mesh screen.

another couple weeks have gone by and its really startin to fatten up! Everything to me seems good, but if you notice anything, thats relatively easy to fix, lmk :) Thanks!

001.jpg004.jpg006.jpg011.jpg014.jpg015.jpg017.jpg018.jpg019.jpg020.jpg edit: how much longer do you all think I have left? been flowering for over 4 weeks now... i think i need another 4-5 depending on when my hairs turn, or do you think it will happen sooner? I am hopin the buds will get alot bigger, but i have never been to this stage with such success before and dont know what to expect... and based on the size it is now, how much bud do you actually think is on the plant? I.E whats my yield lookin like?! thanks again

Might even be more than 4 or 5 weeks. Sativas drag ass. They look like they will be worth the wait though. Don't rush it.

Okay so i've noticed a few hairs starting to turn, seems way too soon but it is on the oldest growth so that might be why. Also should I expect her to get alot more crystals over the last few feeks, seems as though the plant is all hairs and no bud/crystals. I always see the pictures of almost furry lookin buds right before harvest and I just dont see it here. I cant tell you what kind of plant it is, because its just outta some bud i ran across but the end result from which it came was quite nice. But can anyone give me some insight on what to expect? Also if you notice in the last pic, the older fan leaves all look like this. I ran into some problems with underwatering, I just didnt realize how much she was gonna drink once she got soooo big! But i've adjusted and fixed the prob, ive also treated a couple nute deficiencies with a 0-10-10, seems to have helped a bit but older growth is still crispy... not sure if it will ever repair at this point.... only thing i have not done is adjusted the water for chlorine, ive never tested but its the only thing that I can think of that would do this to my plant from my research. Opinions would help and options for treatment would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and if im wrong please let me know, I'd hate to make it worse.

They will grow like crazy. A few weeks is a long time for a plant. Also definitely looks like a sativa. Don't sweat a couple of crispy leaves. Hot spots in your soil from it not being mixed well enough will do this. Your old leaves probably won't recover but who gives a shit when the new ones are growing so well. Just let your water sit out for a couple days before you water again to get rid of the chlorine. I fill mine right after I water and that gives it plenty of time before you water again. They look good.

thanks man you've given me the confidence to ride it out! I bought some bottled water to start feeding my plant the last couple of weeks so im hopin that should fix any chlorine inbalance ill post new pics in a couple more days and Jonny, thanks again, the first toke will go to you my friend for your continued responce, and opinions. Never thought so much could go wrong in the last month but it shows that nothing is perfect and requires tender love and care to achieve the desired results! :bigjoint:

So another week has gone by, and the hairs are not turning as quicking as I expected, so maybe i'm not too far off schedual. At the current rate of change, it will probably take atleast another 2 weeks for it to fully mature, and be ready for harvest. I am going to wait until about 75% of the hairs are orange, or should I wait until about 90%? I hear you dont want to harvest too soon, but too late is just as bad. (correct me if i'm wrong). The plant suffered irrepairable damage due to my neglegence, which is why the plant looks like its almost dying, but actually its doing quite well... the buds are nice n sticky, smell is punguent and is like a "purp" scent too it. I am really excited about the next couple weeks and the harvest to come. I'll keep ya updated. yeahman
