What do you think about this light?

Save up or just wait. Keep looking on amazon and you will find a good deal. I found a 400 watt magnetic ballast with bulb, hood, and a timer for $69! So I grabbed 2 of them. Then about a year ago I found an electronic ballast set with a cool tube, 2 bulbs, and a timer for $89.

You just got to be able to pull the trigger when you find a good deal. Because the next day both sets were out of stock.

I just bought an 02 Audi TT as a toy for the summer. Low miles, nice power, stiff track type suspension. Damn blast to drive. In the fall, it goes to my oldest as his car is dying......Mmmm, maybe not. Chip it for horse power and it'll make a great road/track toy...Must have already thought that......I ordered Hooser track tires for it on Friday! Guess I'll get him something else....Wife ain't bitch'in either....she likes it so much, she's looking around to find one......$3300 was a good deal. Right rear ABS and the post - converter heat sensor was all it needed.
I'm still holding out hope that the Quattro concept (throwback to their old rally car) will see production. ~2,900lbs, ~400hp, ~as fun as it gets (street legal).

It will grow 1 plant. Preferably an auto. Yield 1.5 ounces in 11 weeks. I'd rather see you get into a Viparspectra for that price range. I've seen some decent grows using them.
Or,
As mentioned try craigslist etc... I sold a real nice setup for $150 on there. Be careful if you're not in a "legal" state though. However if you go with HPS now you need atleast a 200 CFM fan, hoses etc.. The cost adds up. If you are in PA I know someone that has a good setup for you.
The led is crap....300 w lmao i would bet the price of it that it isnt 150w 90w probably. There defence to that would be it replaces a 300w... No it dosnt. If its 90w it will replace a 150w hps. I manage a hydro store and the cheep led marketing is a 100% allways a lie. As for needing a 200cfm fan? How did you come by this no.? Fan and filter should be matched to the area not the light.

SEEM is the key word. Blurple LED works in veg but, no so in bloom. Some folks like them - many of those have not the experience under better lighting. "I did it cheap with less heat and less electric cost" Really? Bet my yield with HID of the same watts. Would yield more and with higher quality.....

Now move up to COB and that changes for normal home size grows....

The commercial viability (at this time) of LED use in large plant, large scale, commercial operations is not a wise choice - YET.

The stupid "war" over that issue, in another thread.....was a waste of time and space. Bottom line, I agree with @Odin* on that!
The use of LED tech in com. ops is not as effective as it can be. Com. ops with 10'+ plants are not effectively served by LED's.

If you want to piss and moan about it, and supply pics of existing com ops running LED's.....Go for it! Take a long look at the plant size and then find me their yield counts..... It's getting better all the time....NOT there yet!

Car? You got bad credit? Hell, they give cars to anybody nowa days! Screw you on interest but, you can get a car! Shop wisely - same thing apply's to lighting!

Ya well my Rambler had push button tranny, beer coolers with drain under the seats, and the seats folded into a double bed ..... yup 16 and had a drivable bed with a bar ;).

What's with the agro attitude?

We all agree that this light is a POS. 124 watts draw and a portion of that is drivers and fans. 300 watts = 60 x 5watt diodes. That's the foreigner's way of trying to trick growers. They say it produces 5000 lumens. That's equivalent to roughly 3 100w CFLs which would cost $3 at the dollar store. Cheap Chinese LED's really aren't much more efficient than CFL so not worth the money in most cases. That being said, blurple lights veg plants really well so I wouldn't mind having a Viparspectra for $89.

You really can't grow without a vortex fan. I concur, the desired draw of the fan is related to the size of the space, ambient temps, length of venting, etc.. 200w was just something I threw out there. 4" fans are great for small growers. A filter eliminates other problems.

This is a Quattro version! All wheel drive 225hp turbo..I thought it was the 180hp version, till I had the ABS and heat sensor replaced....Chipping is said to drive it up to over 300hp.
Very low to the ground and track suspension stock.....This thing hugs the road like Porsche 911 of the S and above class.....Man it feels like an GT3/RS in handling.

On that note. I hear that the 917 used by Steve Mcqueen in his "Le Mans" film - chassis number 917-024 (owned by factory driver Jo Siffert - he died long ago) is going to the auction block!

With McQeens racing suit (used in this movie too) having sold for 990K....Estimates of 13 - 16 million by the car auction house Goodings, is going to be not far off. This chassis has been highly desired by collectors sense being found again in 2001.

The sale is going down, during the Monterey Car Week this year - August. A friend and I are thinking about going - just to see it and the sale.
