What do you think about my first grow?

lol I just went out and bought a timer and some more CFL's. I'm going to clone the male for the seeds and practice topping on it. While I left the female flower! I'll start the 12/12 probably sometime tonight.

when the balls form, and they will eventually, they can pollinate the female.

topping doesn't require practice, just look out when a new node begins to form and cut the new growth. it doesn't have to have any rocket scientist/neurosurgeon precision....

:wall: DUDE--THUGNASTY--LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE RIGHT NOW AND KILL HIM RIGHT NOW

If you keep him, ??? or his clones ??? anywhere around, you run a significant risk of that pollen finding it's way to your females--once that happens, forget about harvesting quality smokeable nugs.

LoL dont transplant.... omg... JUST KILL THE MALE... CUT HIM OFF... dead... done.... smoke it... it's like a rock... ;) then put the plant on flowering and wait 2 months and get awsome yield... just do it... now!

cut few clones from female before you put it 12/12... and root the bitches...

Oh, no doubt. I will kill him I just wanted to know if there were anyway I could salvage anything from him, be it educational or for seeds without harming the female.

If you really want the male, dry it somewhere away from the female, FAR AWAY. Then save the remains to make hash or honey butane oil. I have even seen recipes for making marijuana ointment for stuff like arthitis. there is very little thc in males, but if you have enough leaves stems and so forth you can make a by product.

I don't really feel like going through all that trouble for a little product. If it's not worth it then it's not worth it. I just wanted to see it grow pretty much. I'm going to wait until the soil drys out so I can loosen the soil and then get rid of the male.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but I'm really glad you said that. I knew that much, but I wasn't taking that into consideration. That really did help me in piecing everything together. Thanks...

dont try to pull him up if his roots are tangled with the females!(if they are both in the same container by now they are tangled and trying to pull the male will damage the girls roots really bad ) chop him at soil level and leave the female alone. dry the male and turn it into cannabutter.
