What Do You Guys Do for the Environment?

So I'm huge on helping out the environment and reducing my impact on the world right now and I was wondering if any of you could give me some ideas on what more I can do. I do almost every conventional thing you can think of, so I'm hoping someone can give me some more off the wall ideas. Some of the major things I do so far:

  • Turn off AC when I'm out and use ceiling fans to reduce stress on the AC unit, change filter every 90 days.
  • Flush toilet every other time, place brick in tank to displace some of the water.
  • Wash dishes in sink instead of dishwasher
  • Wash clothes on cold/cold cycle, with Tide cold water energy saving detergent, full loads, during non-peak hours, etc.
  • Dry clothes on the efficent setting, clean lint trap after every load, run during non-peak hours, etc. (unfortunately, drying using a clothesline is out of the question)
  • Replaced all incandescent bulbs with CFLs, I use natural lighting whenever I can
  • Use biodegradeable cleaners
  • Recycle like a mofo
  • Next time I go to Publix, I'm going to buy a bunch of those green bags
  • Drive efficiently, buy gas at night, keep up on oil and filter changes, try not to let car idle for more than 30 seconds, tire pressure checked frequently, etc.
  • Refrigerator and freezer set on efficient settings
Any other ideas that I haven't thought of?

haha I do it because I live by myself. When my girl stays over though I definitely flush every time.

By just simply taking 15 minute shorter showers, you save a lot of gallons. Also, if you drink bottled water, drop that. Buy a Brita Filtration pitcher or faucet attachment.

dudes the environment is fine, now if you are taking about saving the environment so humans can still live in it then thats one thing

but I dont think the earth really cares if theres no oxygen or if theres lava everywhere

why do people act like they are saving the "Environment" when really all they are trying to save is the optimal environment where humans can flurish :blsmoke:

so remember you are not saving the environment per say u just want to delay the day when humans will not be able to survive here anymore. dont worry there will be plenty of other creatures around

i dont see anyone too pissed about mars' environment, why arnt you guys trying to save that environment too?:blsmoke::hump:

if you really wanna save the environment for people to be able to live for many more thousands of years like before we must all go back to the olden days type ways of living no doubt, everything else would be just a stall tactic.

you know im not into the polar bear too much, fuck them anyway

u dont like america or seem to use it as a scapegoat for the problems you see in the world. but really you should see america as just the first nation in the race who got to the scary woods first. sure the woods are scary but we didnt invent them we just got there first, all the other countries will be here soon dont worry buddy:mrgreen:

then you will blame us like we led you to the woods, but really your the one who followed us there

and you know why u followed?

for the same reason we got here, human nature:blsmoke:

so to hate america and the ways of its people is to hate humans themselves:blsmoke:

sure maybe its right to hate ourselves, but your problem is that you try to deflect that hate and pretend that it doesnt begin with you and your very own nature.

quite conviniant for you I may add:blsmoke:

but as for me i promised myself a long time ago that if there is anybody I refuse to ever lie to, it would be myself:blsmoke:
