This is what I did...well, actually, I purchased a bit of a 'knock off' brand called Bubble Bag Dude. It definitely helps! All my water is left with is a nasty green color. As far as smaller trichomes go...unless you're not using something with small enough holes to catch the small trichome gland heads, then a lot of your bubble could be going to waste...but if it's only the stalks with no glandular heads ontop of them, they're useless...all the goodies are in that round little head

Depends on how it's grown. Lots of chemmy grows the goodies are only in the heads. With [different quality] theres resin all throughout. Some say it comes down to genes, i see a bigger different between grows than strains tho.Dry some of that shit up and smoke some. If it gets you high then it's worth keeping.
I just do dry sift then a QWISO with the pot left over and that stuff kicks ass so I don't toss the pot.
I would dry out the pot after bubble bagging it and Qwiso that stuff too.
Lots of heads don't get knocked off while bubble bagging or dry sifting so a final solvent extract gets those so nothing goes to waste. When I trim I save anything with sugar on it but still run my discard pile thru the screen once it's dried right out and get a nice pile of those I missed. Not the greatest for smoking but added to the oil batch it cleans up nicely and is worth the 15 min it takes to screen it.
