what do these look like? indica/sativa? a little kushy? etc.

i was wondering if anyone could tell me what type/strain these looked like lol (no specifics)..i have no idea. idk if they are indica or sativa. one person said one of them looked like some type of kush.

look dominantly indica mate, short stature wide fan leaves and very bushy.

looks indica too me.

both of them? after looking at pics that bottom mylar could use replaced lol. been getting neglected since they have been in taller pots.

id like to know what strain the bigger one is. they wer found in a bag with the word super Jamaican written on it lol.probably some stoner who didnt know what they wer either. iv never heard of that before.

My guess would be a cross that is about 70% indica and 30% sativa ..... maybe even as high as 80% indica and 20% sativa, but I doubt it.

Leaf shape can be deceiving depending on how much time went into the creation of the final released strain. Here is an example.

Roumours and guesses on the parentage of Romulan abound. Claims that the Romulan is a pure Indica (Afgani/Kush) are mistaken. While there may be some genetics from Indica (Afgani) varieties, anyone who has tryed the Romulan knows that the mind warping effect is that of plant with strong sativa traits. `Romulan Joe` and I have had many conversations on the origin of this strain. According to him the original breeders started growing in there backyard and greenhouse in the 50`s, after being introduced to cannabis in the Korean war and bringing home seeds to Victoria. They struggled to grow and acclimatise these seeds selecting the faster flowering shorter plants from the tall lanky Korean strain. When the late sixties, early seventies rolled around they began trying Columbian and Mexician seeds and hybredized varieties from these. In the mid 80`s when the Afgani strains sweept into North America they breifly tried hybredizing with these but eventually when back to selecting the traits they liked in there old genetics. They worked mainly with Sativa genetics but always selected shorter squatter phenotypes which has made many people think that it is purely Indica strain.

The point being .... even a sativa or highly predominant sativa/indica cross can take on the visual appearance of an indica if the shorter more squat faster flowering phenotypes are over time bred back into each other. Leaf appearance and flowering time can say indica but it can still retain its original sativa or predominantly sativa high and in actuality remain a pure sativa or a highly predominant sativa.

So when it comes to 'mystery genetics' making judgments, guesses actually, as to what a strain actually is can be difficult and it can at times be easier to be incorrect than correct when going only by the shape of leaves and overall appearance, as in short and squat.

it has smelled alot for a while now while the others have next to no smell. when it first started to smell the others didnt smell at all, it started early. maybe i should have mentioned that.

i dont plan to try this one indoors again lol. smells way earlier than it has to.

In my vision - the smellier the plant - the better.
I always run a carbon scrubber that is 600m3\h for my 450m3\h vent and if things go well there's some smell escapes in advanced flowering.
