People are stupid Wat kind of forum is this..Not a BS forums ROLLITUP not BS it up..stfu already with stupid ass threads.who cares what others do.
I would wager you can't see the irony of a grammatically-challenged, high-functioning simpleton calling other people STUPID.

This is the POLITCS section, Jethro. Deal with it or GTFO.

this thread is off track ,society is governed by the faction we as a free people should be governing our selves , not hanging on by threads , hanging on afraid , at one point this was our nation ..ours ,now its our government's ...they took our control one step at a time and we let them

Haha, keep preaching those truths my man! The complacency of society in their oppressed lives sickens me. Reading books from times of old at the moment, and the style of law and order they have and maintain throughout the various clans and tribes. Amazing stuff. Lots of detail on all the taxation and such from the various realms, but an absolutely fantastic insight into it all. These days, pah, send me to a forest somewhere with a big bag of tools and i'm happy! But how can i be happy, i don't have satelite, i don't have access to my local MP, how would i survive!

random tangent there :D

The problem is the requirement to buy something we don't want, and ruinning the current healthcare system that 85% of people are happy with. In a short time it would be the only option.
and here's where you get bit in the ass. because you keep conflabulating these numbers.

85% of people WITH health insurance are satisfied with their current coverage. given that only about 60% of people in america have health insurance, then all you can say in terms of ALL PEOPLE is:

85% of 60% of people in the US are happy with their health insurance coverage.

Well yeah! Sixty percent of the people polled had insurance already.

Peace
yes and the goverment is demanding they, the sixty percent, pay for the other forty percent. thats the argument. thats what this plan is all about. peple who work will be force to pay and be fined if they dont. others will be given medicaid for free, just like now.

i have no problem paying for my own health care. i have big problems being told to pay for yours too.

and your plan is so stupid that every major insurance supplier as raised rates from 30 to 60 percent. and you dimbulbs think this obama care is gonna be cheaper. cheaper for the leeches. working people, it will cost us double.

the poor doctors who go to school for a million years to make a few bucks and help people through life, they are the ones that get it right in the ass. they just lost 30 percent of repayment for medicaid/care. thanks obama, they are already over worked, and now our brilliant govt is gonna make it hard for them to make a living.....cut their wages by 30 percent over night while they are trying to pay back hundreds of thousands in student loans, possible millions into their practice. you are gonna take their money? they are gonna say fuck off. we are gonna bleed doctors over the next five years. american doctors have already took a beating from overseas docs. now the federal govt is cutting their pay.

and these people are the best in society. they donate heavily, they work murdurous schedules, always sponsoring things in the community, uniforms for little leugue teams etc. they , by inlarge part, are the best society has to offer. and most are christians or hindu. God bless these people

wow, you must not have had your eyes open over the last twenty years when rates tripled.

you are disqualified due to being either blind, deaf, dumb, or all of the above. i am not sure which., as even a deaf person can read a paper or watch a closed captioned tv. even a blind person can listen to the radio, or get a reader for their computer. perhaps it is willful ignorance, which i would lump into the 'dumb' category, which is an insult to dumb people as they try to learn, unlike the willfully ignorant who ignore info readily available to them.

remember about this time last year, when insurers were trying to get permission to raise their rates.....BEFORE the patient protection and affordable care act was signed into law? how about the year before that? and the year before that? 10 years ago, when your rate was doubling, were they just anticipating that 8 years into the future the junior senator from illinois would ascend to the presidency by promising the electorate reform in the health care system?

please smash your head against a wall with great force, repeatedly. that is the proper response for bringing up that talking point in a serious fashion.

What do the poor owe society?

Not sure in this context, of what "society" is, but I'll attempt an answer here.

I think viewing the "poor" as a single unified group is a fallacy. Some poor owe "society", if "society" has given them something and as a condition of that gift those particular "poor" agreed to conditions of that gift. In that context THOSE poor owe the giver(s) the fulfillment of their voluntary obligation they committed themselves to.

Some "poor" do not owe anyone anything monetarily, because they have chosen not to accept the yoke of "government charity", good for them I say. I think all individuals regardless of their financial situation should honor their word and do what they commit to doing. The "poor" are no different in that regard than any other financial caste in my book. We can only "owe" what we have voluntarily consented to, ie a contractual obligation we have agreed to fulfill with the exceptin being if we have aggressed against another, we owe them restituion. Financial circumstances don't change that. In a different context, we all "owe" others mutual respect. Compassion is nice, but we don't "owe" it as a condition of our existence to another in the sense that we must provide for another. We simply "owe" them the right to provide for themselves and they us in a reciprocity of mutual respect.

Some poor "owe" others. Some don't. Society as a unified group isn't owed anything by the fictional unified group of "the poor". Lumping "the poor" into a group fails to recognize the individual and their ability to overcome circumstances or obligate themselves or not obligate themselves.
