What do I need to kickstart flowering?

I have a buddy with a plant (and no internet access.) His plant has been flowering for about a 1 1/2 weeks. He went to the store for nutes yesterday and ended up coming back with some african violet stuff from the hardware store >_> Anyways, What should we be getting for this plant? Its in soil if that helps any.:-|

Is the plant indoors or outdoors? Do you guys have any hydro shops around you? There is a website that you can enter your area code and it will find any, but if so then go there and pick up some Bloom Nutes.

If you dont have any hydro then just try and find something with a Lower N and higher P K

For instance my Fox Farm Tiger bloom is 2-8-4. So anything around that ratio should work decent.

He has hps lighting. he just started using it when he went into flower. We were using 4 42 w cfl (6500k). Im talking as far as nutrients.

theres loadsa nutrients for flowering on the market,he just needs to get the best he can.peace

Well somebody else had recommended using mollases. Anybody know what this is, and what its good for?

i've heard that mollases adds sugars the plant can use but most of the people i talk to have more problems than not after adding it.

adding molases is good for the end product but attracts more bugs, even indoors, as the sugar will permiate from the plant. atleast thats what ive found.

Where can I find this hydro store sniffing website? Can't find any nearby yet.

EDIT: Nevermind, a little more digging in google helped me out.
