What do I need to do to yield a pound/month?

that regulator wont work. you have to get one with the soleniod so you can plug it into a controller or a timer works also. i use a 20 lb tank and have to fill it every month and a half. 12$ to fill.

Well SHIT! lol :P...at least the tanks are cheap to fill...

I think I'll get it all started with one 6-planter under my 400W MH next week. Start cloning and building more bins as they're needed until I have what I'm looking for.

Definitely going to start with clones. I know that I need twice the space if I want to harvest every month, so if I veg in a separate room and use the closet as my two flowering rooms, that means my goal is 1.5oz/plant. In the end, I'll be able to veg for 4-5 weeks before space opens up in the flowering room, correct? I plan on making my own air duct for the lights, so probably 6". Would it be a stretch to think that I could pull a pound off 12 plants?
Here's what ya do.......... get a t-5 4 foot setup in a seperate, smaller space. I say this because it's cheap, cool, and will support the vegging for at least a pound worth of bud, plus you keep a mother or two and do your clones in there also.

Now your answer to the 3 x 400 watt hps will yield a pound? That is entirely up to you and your care/attention to your plants through the grow cycle. Is it feasable? well certainly, you can get alot more than a pound of these lights potentially. A novice low knowledge grower, just following advice and having a slight grip on what he's doing, can average .5 of a gram of dry product per watt of lighting used. A good grower, advanced, highly seasoned/knowledged of cannabis horticulture can get up to an over a gram of dry product per watt :) So again it's up to you and your master plan.

Since you have stated you want this particular yield each and evry month you will have to play a game with timing. Basing this on a roughly 8 week flowering period, you will want to cut clones from your said mother plant or order clones within 4weeks of eachother. Ideally you want to have clones fully vegd 2 your height specifications then add another set of equal amount of clones to your vegging space as the fully vegged ones go to the flowering room.

Your flower room (12/12 ) much bigger space, will consist of two stages of plants each 4 weeks apart, thus, giving you a harvest every month of an easily obtainable, with 1200 watt amount of " 1 pound " You can start with as many plants on your two alternating age groups of cannabis. I would guestimate starting with perhaps 8-12 plants per batch, 16-24 plants total in your flowering room.I have 8 plants under a thousand watt light, for example. If you fully understand what I am going on about here and it makes sense, you will see the rotation
neccessary to achieve this goal you have set. Good luck ~ BCbuddy :leaf:

I see exactly what you are saying when it comes to the rotation, and it makes perfect sense. So check this out...I have a few months before I can start the grow in the big closet (large enough for the 3 400W lights and 2 flowering sections), so I'm stuck to using the same closet (roughly 2x5). I want to bust out a low-cost SOG in the meantime. I'm thinking about getting a plastic tray the exact size of the closet made, with a reservoir this time so that I don't have to water it myself every time, to replicate what I already did on a bigger and smarter level. I estimate that I could fit 32 to 40 clones in there. If I topped all of them, vegged for a week or two under a 1000W MH, then flower under the 1000W HPS, what do you guys think I could pull dry off of that? I know you said .5g/W, so 500g would be a little over what I'm looking for (bummer :P), but does that still apply with SOG? Sorry about all the stupid questions, I just wanna learn as much about everything that I can lol :joint::joint::joint::joint::joint: and bare with me lol

Here are some pics of what my shit looked like when it was vegging and what it looks like now in case anyones curious lol
