I remember it as conductor's choice and if you have a good piano they tuned to that or it went to first chair oboe. I was definitely most disposable oboist and saxophonist. Mostly I was in trouble for smoking pot and fucking off with the percussion section.

My band teacher was Billy Butterfield's brother

I got a D in band because I was ditching band class and smoking pot out behind the auto shop
