I'm not sure about other locations, but in So-cal, our electric company (Edison) has a discount on some 27k bulbs -100 watt each. As in they cost a $1 each. Theses are sent to dollar tree stores, mom and pop dollar stores, etc. I saw a ton at Walmart once(75c).

So next time your in CA grab a ton.

I use 85 watt bulbs from STEALTHHYFDRO.com, they have low Kelvin and High kelvin bulbs.

105 Watt Spiral CFLs will soon be available.

yeah, flowering with CFL's is almost not sufficient for dence chron buds, usually on the fluffy side, although experienced growers could probobly manage to achieve it-although the majority of experienced growers use the expensive stuff :)

He is absolutey right !

You can not get more than a gram of good bud per watt , no matter how many plants you have.

what about the other lights that i have the green and yellow pack....i can see that pack is really bright compared to the ones in the red pack seems to have a blue tint to them.

Heh those say 6500k in big bold letters on the left hand side of the package, those are the ones you want for vegging.
I bought the blue box "cool white" 150w CFL's from wal-mart, but they say only 4100k. Does anyone know if this spectrum is still good for vegging?
