What causes leaves and stem to point strait up during flowering

i wanted to know what causes a plants leaf and stem to point strait up,i noticed it doesnt happen with all plants but alot of them, know people want pictures and i have them on file i just cant download them,i have no idea about computers except reading news on internet,i tried to download a pic of an ak that was flowered at 12 inces and because of pf stayed that height for all 9 weeks of flowering it was just bud from ground to tip.

you have over 1,000 posts and haven't learned to post pictures yet? Shame on you! From what I have read here it is a good sign as no one I have read about reported anything but that cool ass stretching, but they might be stretching for a little light.

sometimes the light can be to close mine did that like she had horns, i figured out that it was the heat so i let up some using a 400 hps

ya ive seen it with some plants and not others all from the same mother,i do notice that the ones that point strait up do not bud as big as the other,it must be how they process food,because they are all the same distant from light.
