What Can I Grow ??

Hey there RIU'ians!!!

Ok so I have a few more weeks left before my current harvest is over.

What im really looking forward to is the next grow. I have recently recieved my order of seeds from Herbies (Nirvana Ice,GH Lemon Skunk,SXS Skunk,Northern Lights)

Only problem is the misses only wants me to have 2 plants at most for the next grow.

So I wanted to ask you guys what would be the best way to utilize my setup for maximum yeild off 1 - 2 plants.

This is my setup as of now:

1.2m x 1.2m x 2m Mylar Grow tent
600w Digital Dimmable ballast
600w Retro MH Bulb (veg)
600w HPS (flower)
Batwing reflector (will get a cooltube when i have a bit more $$)
6inch inline exhaust fan (will be getting a carbon scrubber in a week, ladys are starting to smell)
5inch intake fan
5inch clamp fan (inside tent)
large pedestal oscilating fan

As for plants:

Medium: Nutrifield Premium Coco <-- good stuff but if bigger plants mean use ebb&flow,DWC etc etc than will consider it
Nutes: Seedlings (5.8ph water with .5-1ml per litre of Nutrifield Zyme root and shoot development)
Vegging plants (5.8ph water with Nutrifield Coco A+B nutes and Nutrifield Zyme root and shoot)
Flowering (5.8ph water with Cyco Platinum Series Flourish A+B and Nutrifield Alaska Pure)
I have "016 Stabilized Liquid Oxygen - PH Balanced" but need to do more research before I try it out, apparently can make a Coco grow as good as any ebb&flow,DWC,aeroponics etc etc.

Feeding schedule: All plants are fed by hand. Plants are fed when medium is slightly dry and pot is fairly light, I dont like to let coco get completely dry.
At this moment im feeding my flowering plants once a day with 4L of nutrient solution. There loving it but I think they are getting a little bit burnt.

Anyways so this is my setup.

What would be the most efficient way to grow using this system and only 1-2 plants. I dont mind having a massive plant that fills the whole tent that actually is what im after.
What is the best way to go about it?
I started looking into SCROG, thinking maybe veg a single plant for 2 months under a screen but iunno never done it before hence this post need some insight.

If i can get some good answers here ill put 2 seeds into germination tonight 1 x Nirvana Ice fem'd and 1 x Green House Lemon Skunk fem.

Any information would be greatly appreciated guys, also if enough people are interested in my 1 super plant grow Ill start a journal from day 1 to harvest :D

Cheers in advanced ladies n gents,

Peace & Ganja - To Release stress!!!

Its all about veg time... the longer you veg for, the more branches with bud sites. Also, top the hell out of it. You can top at the third node when she is a baby and top every other node after that. I would recommend trying to do just one massive plant, that way it can spread itself out and you will get more light to more bud sites.

Convince her to let you do 3, and do a scrog.
I can try but she is already pissed at the 20 plants I had a couple weeks ago, had to downsize something severe !! I currently now from 20 plants have 1 large plant in flower and 1 12/12 from seed plant in flower.... from an expected big yeild to maybe getting enough to support my own habits for a couple of weeks lol.
Hence why i put this post up to see the best way to grow either 1 or 2 plants to the full size of my tent.
I was thinkin of a scrog grow but with 1 plant, or do you think 1 plant wont be enough to fill the screen to atleast 75-80% before i flip to 12/12 !!

Is is neccessary to grow scrog with more than 1 plant?

I basically need to produce as much bud as possible from 1-2 plants... ill need to make this perpetual as well... so a 3rd plant in might be a plant left in veg or a mother plant or somethng...

Im so confussed as to what to do...its annoying the shit outta me !!

Only problem with that is I dont wanna veg a plant till its 3ft tall then flip to 12/12.... if it plans on getting more than double the size ill be screwed height wise !! Ive got that similar problem now.... well i flipped when plant was 2ft tall and its grown bigger now but bud sites are uneven top 2 collas get a hell of a lot of light and the lower buds dont get as much hence i wanted to try the screen method so that way I can make a decent cannopy on a single plant and have nice dense buds all over instead of the top buds being premo and the bottom ones being fluffy light buds that really only good for hash, cooking, oil etc

Scrog is your answer. I work in a smaller spacey than yours (10 square feet). I've got 4 plants going but it would fill out just as nicely with 2, it would just take a little longer in veg. My last harvest was 19 ounces and my grow isn't even close to dialed in. It was my first grown in 7 years and my first time with a scrog. I will never grow any other way until they invent some better way of growing.

So you think its possible to fill out a 1.2x1.2m screen with 1 or 2 plants? If so do i start scrog straight away or how long do I wait before putting her under a screen ?

2 plants? DWC. Hands down. No Recirc or anything else for just two. 5-gallon setups rock and are easy to build, set up and maintain. No indoor soil grows for me. Chopped the last one 6 weeks ago. DWC and get the yield!!!!

Agreed, 100% scrog is a bunch of work but good but DWC with a symple net to spread them out will get huge numbers :):):)

What you think of a DWC system using a scrog method.. 1 plant... vegged till 80% of the screen is filled then flipped to flower?
Is it not possible to compete Coco with DWC ? Is DWC that much more efficient when growing?
I really wanted to start by using DWC but my local hydro place really really suggested I used coco. So i went ahead with coco and its doing great but I want something that can grow a huge plant fast... i dont wanna wait 4-5months to harvest 1 giant plant you know...

DWC. Trust me. They sell more nutrients and supplies to you with coco. I use tap water. Most do, no need for RO or distilled in 99% of cases. Even with hard water. 1 bottle of pH Down, a set of nutrients and your light over your bucket. No hauling dirt or tilling the crap or other dirt related problems. There is a learning curve as with any new matter or subject but it is well within the means of most who graduated 8th grade.

Ok well looks like my projects for this weekend is building a scrog screen to fit my tent and a couple of DWC buckets.... now main thing here that might hurt my pocket.... NUTRIENTS !!

I have Nutrifield Coco A+B, Nutrifield Zyme Root & Shoot, Nutrifield Alaska Pure ...... my guess is these are all nutes specifically for coco.... is it possible to use this for dwc?

Or do I just go buy a new range of nutrients specifically for DWC? Never done dwc before, how do you go about changing nutes, checking and fixing fluctuating ph levels, how will i know if they are taking up more nutrients or more water, how to fix it.. etc etc...

Ive done a bit of research on DWC as that was my first option, but I think ill need a bit more help !!

any information you can help us out with bud would be great !!

thanks for your help so far man
