What can i do?

Hello friends,

The plant in the pic is my sister but was my great grandads before he died.

I would like to take a cutting to create a plant for my self, i think i have a problem though.

Any comments on what i can do to solve the problem, if any at all?

Do you know what kind of plant it is? If you tell us what kind of plant it is a search can be done to find out if its a leaf cutting kind of plant like African Violets and such or if its a type of plant you have to take a branch cutting.

Also I am sorry to hear about your loss. My grandma passed away this year in the winter and I ended up with some of her plants but I was only able to take a cutting or two from them before they died.

From what i remember my Grandad saying it was some type of rubber plant?

I will do a bit research now.

ahh thats an iffy one right there.. since it is only one shoot going straight up. are there any baby shoots coming out the bottom or in the soil? you could propagate using one of those baby cuttings. the only other way is to cut the top of that main shoot and use that to clone. but then it would change the shape of the plant ya know? hmmm
