What can I do with very old trim?

I recently have gotten ahold of some old trim. Ranging from 1-3 years old. The trim has been stored in black tubbawear bins that have been sitting in a separate room with the AC set to 70. They have not been tampered with and have simply just been sitting. Is there anything that I can do with the trim? I would love to make some hash, or better yet rosin. Does anyone know if I'll yield anything? Thank you for your help!

Assuming the storage container hasn't affected the taste of the resin, I'd turn it into kief. From there, you can smoke it, refine it, press it and make hash, make rosin, edibles, etc. Kief is king. You could also make bubble from the trim.

I often say, "just kief it out" meaning the product is not top shelf or a limiting factor during the grow affected the quality. In either case the cannabinoids are suspended in an oil. It doesn't evaporate. It can keep for a long while as long as heat doesn't degrade it. Cold is a better long term storage option.

So there's a chance that even though it's old, it might produce? That's my main concern
For sure. If there's apples in that basket, shake them loose and put to them to good use. The glandular heads will have shrunk a little and puckered up like 110 μ raisons...and some of the THC will have converted to CBN (which is reported to enhance sleep). But, if there are trichomes in that trim, you are good to go, my friend. Shake and bake.

Thanks for the info! I've been worrying that the material might be too old. I guess I'll keep me fingers crossed until I'm face to face with it.

Hey Average Stoner,
I recently made shatter as well as bubble hash with 5LBS of trimmed bud that was 4 to 5 years old with great success. Give it a try and let us know how you make out.

My experience making BHO from aged trim is that due to decarboxylation the color will be very dark, which is extra work with the color remediation. Refining the color involves mixing with ethanol and filtering through a Buchner filter, again and again, many, many hours of waiting then boiling off and recapturing the ethanol to get the color back close to amber.

I'm going to run it threw bubble bags.. making bho out of old trim isn't what I'm interested in. Curious what it will be like as ice hash.
