What butane do you use to blast?

So snaps u never answered doesnt winterizing rid of the excess additives and impurities or no? Explain please

Things that will evaporate like butane, isobutane and propane will be reduced.

If you used dirty butane, this impurity won't evaporate.

If the butane doesn't pass the glass test, all the crap you see on the glass doesn't evaporate, this stuff won't be reduced by a second purge. So it depends on how one defines impurity. Solvents that aren't fully purged are impurities but can be reduced with winterization.

Mystery oil, not sure that drops out with winterizing, my guess is that it remains and its not evaporating.

Winterizing is not a workaround for dirty butane.

Using a tank of Instrument Grade N-Butane would require some type of pump system..(I think?)

I am not aware of any way to utilize a tank of N-Butane using a open column extraction.

Anybody know if this is feasible?

You need the tank with liquid siphon tube. A pump is to reclaim the solvent in a closed system.

I use power 5 and many others use it as well too. Why do you say/think it's dirty? Did yours not pass the mirror test? When I tried mine (I admit, it's been at least 6 months since I've done the mirror test) the Power 5x passed it. I don't really think you can get it better than winterized? Unless winterized vac? Maybe even double winterized?(Meaning you winterize, catch the fats, add maybe some more secondary solvent and then put back in the freezer) Keep in mind, I have no idea either lol :joint:

I was using vector for the longest. Tried many different brands. Currently using Spark 7x with great results. It's a bit cheaper than vector. Worst brand I've tried is Neon 5x that was some nasty smelling stuff!

anyone know the purity % of power 5? I was thinking about picking up some of this euro butane 48.00 a case and it says its 99.995% pure .

Whip it premium @ 350 a master case and 400ml cans you cant beat it.

I've used Power in a pinch, but ever since they changed their mix, I try to steer clear of all tane from Korea.

Lucienne, Newport, London.

All good shit.

I'm trying to hold off on brands like Pure Tane, capital...

If it seems to good, it probably is.

Lucienne has been my choice tane for a long time....

Once I found out Vector was nonsense.

Power 5 is still passing hydrocarbon tests however...

But the last case I had...

White residue.

Always Test Your Solvent.

Just got a case of power5 for30$....I saw mz12 and talked it down the girl working told me that the eastern washington rep was in the back talking with her.

It can be used and I have used it. Personally I use nothing but whip-it now. It comes down to cost and taste or me.

Bought a new can of Butane, forgot the name of it but it is a yellow can and is 5x. It was made in the UK. Passed the mirror test. I'll try to get a pic and name of it. It was only $2.99 per can which I will gladly play for UK made butane as opposed to Korean made.. (Power 5x, that means you!)
