What bug is this?

Hello There, This is my first post. I've had a problem, my leaves have had marks on them, it got worse and worse. I thought it was some fungus, but my microscope came today and look what I found.Beastie.png
They're all over the plants. I'm in week 5 of flowering and quite worried. I don't have a clue what to do, I don't want to spoil my buds, I worry that anything such as neem I spray will leave a harsh taste and possibly be toxic. What I need to find out is :
1- What is this bug
2- How can I kill it.
3- Would UV light or ozone work.
4- Will they seriosly damage the yield of my crop, ie can I just ignore them for now
Many thanks in advance for any assistance, any one can offer.

They my friend look like a 2 spotted spider mite.

With you only being 5 weeks into flowering I personally would use HOT SHOTS NO PEST STRIP in your area.

Best used with ventilation off such as during your dark cycle.

If you can’t switch venting off then try to run it slowly if you’re controlling speed.

If not controlling speed then maybe try running your exhaust on a timer during the dark cycle.

Yes the ingredients are toxic but it’s half life is quite short, around 9 days.

This will wipe them out almost over night. But you’ll need to leave it in there until the eggs hatch aswell just incase.

When you’re done and you see no more living spider mites you can remove the pest strip and ziplock bag it for future use.

i personally wouldnt use these no pest strips indoors..
read about them a little bit and you'll see why.

Me personally if the grow is large I would introduce predatory spider mites but if its small and the buds arent too big, I would dunk them in some sort of spinosad, or use a safer hot pepper insecticide follow up in a week, rinse the next two weeks following and let it go to harvest. Anything you apply naturally realise you need to rinse it off/allow it time to degrade or it will effect the taste of your buds. The hot shots have bad chemicals in them so be careful when using those things

if you ignore them the crop will suffer, the amount of time and effort put into dealing with this now will pay off for the final push. Next time preventative is KEY! always apply all pesticides late veg/ early flower then ween off and rinse the leaves down.

an infestation is bad but sometimes when u use pesticides as a preventative the bad bugs still live through and end up an infestation due to there no longer being any predators because you eliminated them all!
